I had a rack made when I had my frame made (Custom Ti, Triton based in moscow, amazing company). Not for panniers, but for strapping drybags too. Works well so far. And can still use the dropper post!

Yeah, it's about a foot of mud round here too. Been mostly riding road recently, but eager to get more dirt miles in. Doing a 55ish miler tomorrow, mostly forests and green-lanes, muddy as hell still.
