Re: The BB 200 Thread

Booked for the night before at Dolgadfan farm campsite so I don't have to leave devon at some silly hour on Saturday morning.

Can't wait!

Fatbike For Sale: Salsa Mukluk, small.

Maybe someone on here would be interested. I've got a Salsa Mukluk small (15"). It fits me perfect and I'm 5'7" The frame has been powdercoated red and forks in black. The bike has done about 120 miles ever, and mostly in the dry. I took it out in the snow a while back, but didn't go that ...

Re: Garmin 800

I've got one with OS maps, and aside from the internal battery, it's a great piece of kit. Haven't had problems with battery life, but you have to remember to make sure the backlight is off, and don't leave it on the map view for too long as that drains it. Re: Who uses a rear rack, when bike packing?

I had a rack made when I had my frame made (Custom Ti, Triton based in moscow, amazing company). Not for panniers, but for strapping drybags too. Works well so far. And can still use the dropper post!

Re: Calling Fat Bike owners

I could potentially be up for this. I have a mukluk that I've not used anywhere near enough. Depends on work schedule and timings, and it's a long drive from here (devon) where are you based?

Re: Anyone based around East Devon/Blackdown hills?

Yeah, it's about a foot of mud round here too. Been mostly riding road recently, but eager to get more dirt miles in. Doing a 55ish miler tomorrow, mostly forests and green-lanes, muddy as hell still.

You ride the quantocks much? Up for meeting for a few miles up there?

Anyone based around East Devon/Blackdown hills?

I've recently moved back here (grew up around here) and am wondering if there's anyone around who'd like to ride around this area and further afield. I'm planning some trips riding from axminster to dartmoor, bivi, then on to exmoor, bivi then back down this way. April time. Also up for road rides a...
