Re: Do you remember your first time?

In 1986 aged 14 me and a mate loaded up our racers, pre booked some youth hostels and headed off from the Midlands into Wales. We stayed at Bridges, Corris, 2 nights at Bryn Gwynant, Llangollen then across to the Peaks to Dimmingsdale then back home. We survived mainly on Mr Kiplings pies and I reme...

Re: Cache battery for K-lite system

Mophie powerbanks have pass through charging. I use a 4000mAh and it works a treat , its always fully charged at the end of the day to keep the phone topped up BUT my etrex will do the 30second countdown thing when I drop the speed right down.

For 3 nights running the food had gone and something had been curled up in the straw. Then we caught it on camera going straight in th...

Re: Campsite reccomendations this bank holiday

I like Porthclais but if you are in a campervan you cant go in the bottom field with the sea view...........unless you take a tent with you then its ok. If you dont take a tent you will have to stay in the other 2 fields with no view and all the other campervans.

Or as mentioned KAW but I preferred the Cotswolds as it was quieter. 4 days is plenty. Route is a bit lumpy in and out of Bath and plenty of bivi spots

Re: Groupsets from Ali Express - worth a punt?

I did once buy a couple of 'shimano' chains from china. Looked identcal to the real thing but after sticking the chain checker on them they want straight in the bin as they were longer than a badly worn chain.....I did get a full refund after threatening to report the seller.
