Re: Looking ahead - what are you looking forward to?
To be honest, I've been really enjoying staying local but getting out probably more often than I would have with more distractions around.... Have cobbled together a bikepacking route round Mid, West and South Wa!es, hoping to do that one week in the summer if and when we're allowed. Then hoping to ...

Re: WhereYouAre Ride Thing 2020
Great to read all of your mini adventures, sadly I came across all of this too late otherwise I’d have loved to have taken part. Same here! Meanwhile I've been hatching a plan for a little adventure of my own, to replace my holiday on Anglesey first week of June, which I can't see happening.... Wit...

Re: I Don't Know What They're Saying But
Hilarious. The cheesy song goes something like "I love riding my bike, repeat, repeat, when those other idiots are stuck at the red lights, I'm free to ride on and they can kiss my arse, etc etc" . Setting a fine example.... Then brief glimpse of absolute legend Rudi Altig, my dad told me ...

Re: So it's come to this ...
FFS, I've just spent much of the afternoon sitting. In an armchair. In my lounge. Reading a NEWSPAPER. The garden has a every single seed removed, the beds have had straight edges cut with military precision, and I've bought one of those horrible plastic greenhouses for growing tomatoes. Thank goodn...

Re: feck it. I'm sleeping outside.
I stuck my tarp in the garden last weekend. Wasn't as great as expected. I was bathed in the light of the street lamp on the footpath at the back of the house and I woke up freezing!! :???: Yep, have had all of that, it's crap isn't it? All those street lights, and my husband "kindly" kep...

OMG that means I accidentally did that right the other day without realizing?!?ScotRoutes wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 4:57 pm Flying V .
I'll sometimes use the bike bars as a "lifter". Helps stop the upwind part of the tarp from blowing in on you

Some say I'm a gobby cow... others just a wordy mare.... So you'll be pleased to know you're being blessed with the shortened version, as what I wrote last night doesn't seem to have uploaded.... My early February bivvy a month was my belated dam busters attempt, postponed due to illness, last weeke...
