Re: Yorkshire Dales 200

Thanks for the notes, great to have a local’s insider info again!! Mike, compared to how it was earlier it's bloody freezing! Quick route notes. The usual start but then goes over Barden Moor the opposite way to how the YD300 finishes. Fast riding over by Malham Tarn then the only real technical bit...

Re: Yorkshire Dales 200

Unsure as to whether to do it this year. Might do it steady rather than as a oner if I do. The road section from Giggleswick round to Wray might best be described as "rolling" Oh, and if you've not done it, there's a real sting in the tail. Not quite up to Gunnerside Gill but ... W...

Re: Comfy Pillow

I ended up just grabbing a decathlon one as I couldn't get any of the others in time. Will see how it goes. I always sleep on my front with my head twisted, so I don't know how well they would work if they are designed for back fo side sleepers.

Comfy Pillow

Can anybody recommend a proper pillow for bike packing to be used with an x-therm. Needs to be small and light weight. I'm fed up having to use my down coat when it's warm or anything else shoved in a bag when it's cold. I've got those crappy airline types from work travels but I can never get on wi...

Re: please help the newbie decide

I have a Camino Al, amazing bike, so good on and off road. 650b wheels with Byways can tackle pretty much anything. I have Jones bars on my Sonder Vir Fortis, but use the stock ones on the Camino. They actually give you almost as many hand positions if you have the rival1 groupset, due to the hoods....

Spot Gen 3

I am selling my Spot Gen 3. It has been deregistered from my spot account and is in perfect working condition. Used wise it probably has about 200 hours on it if that. It has slightly scuffed sticker on the back and the usb cover has fallen off, but it has a usb rubber plug on it instead to keep the...

I glued some Shimano shoes that did the same. Used contact adhesive and six months on they are still going strong.

Re: Larger Frame Bag Options (Non Bespoke)

Restrap make great bit, but when we sold them the lead time was a bit long. Ask Neil at alpkit nicely if they can make you a custom one ASAP. The bag on the Vir Fortis is a custom one as I wanted it wider than the stock ones and with extra dividers.

Hey there, Can any locals comment on if there are any technical or bits to watch out for on this years YD200 course please.
