Re: BB200 2023

A local organiser of fell races simply adds 10% to the permitted numbers (the limit is set by Natural England) knowing that at least that percentage won't turn up and therefore he's likely to be back at full capacity on the day. If there aren't as many "no shows" as predicted then he's on...

Re: BB200 2023

Even though it's not an event for me I find it disappointing that there are so many DNS. If the event is oversubscribed, and I assume it sometimes is hence the opening up of a second weekend, it would be a shame if people able and willing miss out? I appreciate that some people are genuinely not abl...

Put that aside for an evening read and it was well worth it! Really enjoyed it. I'm thinking that you made notes along the way during the journey (photo with exercise book) ? That's a great idea on a more leisurely ride especially coupled with photos (or indeed sketches if that's your thing). And pr...

Aren't Alpkit offering a Pinion option now. I know it's not UK manufacturer but they are UK based although I doubt they can offer any sort of custom build.

I have been reading The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared.
A thoroughly enjoyable read especially if you enjoy an irreverent and humorous take on history from the viewpoint of an irascible 100 year old man. Total bollox really

I'm trying to reconcile the picture with the kit list. Nice roomy panier bags but mat & pillow in one, brewkit in the other? That's a lot of bag for not a lot of stuff!? Plus walking poles? I'm guessing there's a lot more to your first trial ride than just an overnighter and maybe the kit list i...
