The legal thing also means no bivvy spots*. I've got a route on the site, with a number of campsites suggested. I've never stayed at any of them.

Re: Bivvy a month 2022

Snuck another bivvy into June in celebration of the solstice. A gorgeous evening of golden light, set to a soundtrack of Meadow Pipits, Hen Harriers, Barn Owls, Wrens and SBJs. New bivvy mate Agent N and I arranged to meet at the pub. 9n arrival, it turned out to be closed due to "unforseen cir...

Last night's bivvy tipple was Brew York's Barton 1792 Empress Tonkoko – 10.6% Brewed and released just once a year, each Barrel Aged Empress Tonkoko release spends at least 12 months in a unique selection of Bourbon barrels. This year Barton 1792 was selected for its spicy and rye-richness to add oa...

Bit of a mix really.
A big driver for me is to create more diversity in cycling and the outdoors, so I've offered to help out with the Peak Gravel Gang and MTB Colour Collective for starters.
There's also the prospect of a bit of commercial work alongside my regular employment.

Re: My last night out was ...

If you want to get out, but that in itself isn't enough motivation, could you link it up with something else? E.g. ride to a friend's house for the evening, camp out on the way home? (Not quite enough motivation + a bit more motivation = enough to do both things) OTOH, if you don't want to get out, ...

Not on that model, they rely on adjustment at the shifter end (which is generally easier to do while riding along).

Nowt to do with me, but there's an On-One Bootzipper for sale in Bristol at the mo, via @thisoldbear on Instagram.
32x18 SS
Good points: Loud hubs, hella zits.
Less good points: Screechy brakes, rear wheel needs a true.
£250 ONO.

Seems like it could be a decent deal?

THE RYDE & NEWPORT RAILWAY opened on 20th December 1875. Ashey Station consisted of a passing loop with the red brick station buildings on the up platform; these were quite grandiose for the rural location and are said to have been provided for the R&N chairman, George Young, who owned near...

Another escapade on the Escapade in Sean's company. For once, I avoided making Sean wait for me, and he rolled up just as I was adding a layer. As we rolled off on our route, we discussed the myriad failings of land access, freehub and cassette compatibility, and Stan's. We rattled along back roads ...
