Re: The magic roundabout ...
So I was thinking possibly a Sonder Broken Road Pinion, with the electric smartshift option.... probably 650b for more tyre volume. I love the idea of the massive gear range ( I NEED very low gearing) of the pinion. Also if Gates Belt drive , virtually nothing to go wrong. reading this reminds me o...

Re: Near death experience - > what road/gravel gearing
about 15 years ago i purchased one of the first Specialized Tricross bikes, to use as a do it all kind of bike. it came with some rubber/plastic inserts on the forks, which flexed i think, for comfort. it also came with canti brakes, but with no cable hanger. anyway, without the stuff i know now, me...

Re: Fat Fighters '24. The year for deflation!
21 stone 4lbs here. which to be honest, i am ok with.
last year was a stonking year on the bike, topping just over 6000 miles.
if more riding means a bit of weight loss, all good then.

adding layers equation against cold ??
in the UK winter, i ride in a single layer pair of trousers from either Keela or Quechua. always ok even down to recent rides of minus 7. so roughly, by adding say a pair of merino base leggings or similar, what kind of temps would be managed ? in my head i always think a good base can cope with dou...
