Re: Ascent... by GPS (Edge 800)
I think the correct method is to do the ride again in the opposite direction and everything should cancel itself out just fine. If it doesn't then just keep going until it does.

Nigel turned his nose up at my choice of powerbank in the past, but balls to him.
I usually carry 2 of these bad boys. Except I think they were on offer at £7.99 each when I bought them. Been using them regularly for over a year and they're still going strong.

Too busy riding bikes m8
tbf I've done the same thing when buying second hand stuff. Bought some forks that had a 1 1/4" steerer tube (Giant Overdrive) without realising. Turned out that NO bearing manufacturers made headset bearings in that size to fit my frame.

Re: Anti Gun Bike Brand Boycot?
it would be decades before it had any effect. But the people of decades later would be thankful and safe. As we are now decades after Hungerford/Dunblane. Should we boycott manfacturers of diesel engines now too? That would save nearly 200,000 lives in a generation's time. Like someone said before,...

When I got my dress taken in last year it ended up too small around the hips because the dress maker had used up all her chalk fixing sleeping mats.

I'd say it's rideable on a CX. I'd probably put the biggest tyres I could fit on. If you could get something like a 44mm Nano on you'd be fine.

Checked the spindle Sean and all looks good ,think that little plate with the pin broken off may be the culprit ,so it looks like fitting either a pop rivet stem into the plate or looping a split pin through the clamp bolt and into the locating hole till I can get my hands on a new plate Cheers for...

My usual first step is to look at the Strava heat map and segments in the areas I'm heading to, then look at the rides other people have done there. Usually gives a decent idea of what's rideable/popular etc.

Re: Training for the CTR
Tried to avoid ''sessioning" the same sections as it's a bit dull - do you think the improvement from doing this is from becoming a better rider, or just learning the best lines for a particular segment? It'll give you the confidence to ride over techy bits at the right speed and not panic and...

The gpx for the whole thing is available on the PBW website. The file contains all the different options/loops/spurs so you need to edit it to make any sense of it. Just had a play with it and made this, you should be able to download the gpx directly from there: https://www.bikemap.net/en/r/4306711...

I've just booked with easyjet to Munich. I think they were £42 each way, but the flights were slightly more expensive the Ryanair, so again it pretty much balances out.
