Re: Vitoria Cannoli 29+ bulk buy?

I'm stocked up on Knards for life now. But it's only a few pence more here for 1 or 2 https://sportandleisure.com/products/vittoria-cannoli-29-x-3-0-fat-bike-tyre-fat-mtb-snow-bike They're the non-tubeless ones... Needs to say TNT otherwise they're far too loose. https://sportandleisure.com/product...

Re: Vitoria Cannoli 29+ bulk buy?

I'm after 2x 29+ tyres for my Singular Rooster. I'm probably going to get Maxxis Rekon 2.8 for £47 each end. Are these Vittoria any good for all year round mtb riding ? £33 seems good price for plus tyres. I'm very happy with one on the back, and a minion DHF up front. Never used on the front yet, ...

Vitoria Cannoli 29+ bulk buy?

Is anyone interested in some brand new 29*3.0 Vitoria Cannoli tubeless tyres? Combination of offers on eBay means they come in at £31 each if I buy 6 tyres... Ideally people in the Sheffield/Manchester/Nottingham area to avoid postal charges

Re: Todays walk

Absolutely beautiful walk today - mini-expedition with 25 scouts, walking from Dore near Sheffield, up the surprisingly unknown Hoindkirk hill, along the top of Burbage edge and back the scenic route to home. Amazingly clear crisp day, about -1°C with plenty of ice. All kids are tired and happy, no ...

Re: WTD: High n Wide bars?

I've some stooge steel bars - pretty much the same as the moto (but steel) which have been cut down a bit. I bought them thinking they were full width, but they're not. I think they are 790mm - any use? I'll get an accurate width later

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.

Not sure I'll be riding this weekend, but taking my scout group on their mini-expedition tonight... couple of hours walk by headtorch tonight followed by pizza and a film or 2 in the scout hut we're sleeping in. Tomorrow's plan is a scenic walk home via houndkirk hill and stanage edge which should b...

Re: Winter Hammocking

What's the thoughts on the DD hammock with the pocket for a sleeping mat? Looks like less faff and will keep the hammock spread out a bit... We use the (appropriately named)DD Scout double skinned hammock with my scout group, and get the scouts to put a ccf mat or slightly soft self inflating mat b...

Is this now getting into the "Set Menu" way of thinking? Saves thinking, and you're pretty sure it will do what you want? I know what you mean though, and often spend ages looking around only to go back and get the first think I thought of, or decide that I didn't need whatever it was anyw...

Lots of very cheap deals on start fitness, including heated jackets (not for bikepacking, but should be amazing for standing on the side of cold football pitches and an upcoming trip to Iceland)

Nothing to do with bikes, but I'm now the (proud?) parent of a teenager... I think that's something to be cheerful about? And he's a whole lot better than whichever teenager left a turd halfway up the staircase at school today!

Re: WTD: 135/170mm hub or wheelset

Does sound like a nice selection of parts! Entirely possible that it was built up with older bits where suitable, and those XTR shifters last pretty much forever. Forgot to say that the tyres are on-one floaters, and I think I've also got a spare vee tyre which I tended to run as a faster rolling re...

I've a pair of on-one fatty wheels in that size, I was selling them as part of a full bike but need the space so would sell as just wheels or wheels & tyres. Probably after about £100 posted with tyres for them I think. Can include rotors and/or cassette for a little more. Are there any other bi...
