Re: Steel 29er choices

Does it have to be steel? Six months ago I would not have typed that. Ive been a steel fan for 30 years and have munched my way through most of the bikes mentioned here. Solaris is great, the Sherpa brilliant, Swift was fun and sweet looking, various Salsas etc. All have been great bikes. A few mont...

Re: Old(ish) Fargo tyre width

I have the older version, roughly 2011-ish and run a 2.4 Conti on a Surly 29+ rim (50mm) out back and a 3.0 Knard up front with plenty of room for slop shat. :-bd

Re: Road Touring in Northumberland

Hi I dont want to get drawn into the what bike thing....., but as a Northumberland resident, I can offer you any advice on where to go whilst up here. Re: Beerpacking the Veneto Gravel route

That looks like what I wanted Tuscany Trail to be. Less hills, more beer and mooching around towns whilst stuffing my face. Could beerpacking be the new black? Its a yes from me :-bd

Re: Moors One Hundred

Thanks for all the positives guys, it makes the many 200 mile trips to the area to recce, sort stuff out all worth it. Didn't get much time socialize, it went by in a flash. But a million thanks for turning up. On that note.... I have mixed feelings on wether to run it again. It was quite a bit of e...

The first climb out of Goathland and the Newtondale Singletrack would be a pain if we all set off at once, so we decided against a mass start. I guess we will all gather at ...

Re: Moors One Hundred

OK folks I have put an updated GPX file on the website. Where i converted the route into a track yesterday using Memory M(Cr)ap, it cut lots of corners off to reduce the number of waypoints. Old file is fine if using a map or memory map app, but if loading straight into a garman, some of the junctio...
