Re: Does anyone say hello?

Does anyone say hello anymore? Not sure why it bothers me so much but why don’t people return a cheery hello? Out on Moel Famau on Saturday, started away from the tourists paths and didn’t see anyone for an hour or so. Went in to the main paths and all the walkers I then came across returned a hell...

Re: Trans Cambrian Way?

Advice well taken. Thank you. I don't mind epics but don't really like thingsgowrongics due to poor planning. Like last October when I set off over the Bealach and the mountain tried to kill me with 74mph gusts when I was at the top.

..note to self. Check weather.

Don't want any money, they came off different boxed bikes coming through ( I work in the cycle industry ) so you're welcome to them. Thanks kind sir... PM inco...

Trans Cambrian Way?

Hey all, I was originally going to do this as my first ride, though since speaking with John and joining you lot on this forum it's now not going to be my first outing as luckily it was the winter event this Jan, so thankfully I didn't start in the summer! I was wondering who's done this route? It l...

Re: Spot Tracker Wanted thread.

Where the mobile doesn't work is exactly where the Spot is most useful  Obviously  My point was really that, there's not many places where mobiles won't work, so unless you're going to those places on a regular basis, why bother? Seems that people can't be out of contact with loved ones ...

How purple is the Krampus in real life? Does anyone have a 2019 one? I'm after one new. Or an older frame second hand.

Re: Grey or green tent?

I've got the new one in green. It's actually quite a light green so it might not have been what you were looking for anyway. Looks good but think I'd have been happy with either. Good to know, thank you :) looking forward to getting out again, it's only been a few weeks since I was last out, but I ...

Re: Grey or green tent?

The LE (the version I have) was heavier (800-odd g iirc). The LE has heavier ‘fly’ and ground sheet. One of the reasons I bought it was I figured it would be more durable than the green one... Definitely packs bigger than green (as compared to scotroutes one). yeah the guy had a green one pictured,...

Re: Grey or green tent?

I’ve a gray one (didn’t want to be ‘twins’ with scotroutes while out on a bivvy  ). Happy with mine. Not too obtrusive as stated. One of the reasons I got the Lunar Solo is that you can roll the flap(s) back and sleep ‘under the stars’ well almost. You only really have to close them if it’s ra...

Re: Grey or green tent?

Grey is good. Won't stand out and isn't military looking. Not a problem here but if you ever take it abroad it's not a great idea to look too military is some countries. Never thought of that. Thank you all for your input. I do like green as a colour but it's good to hear the grey isn't bad. Kinda ...

Grey or green tent?

So it looks like I got super excited on eBay when I seen a lunar solo posted in green. I offered him numbers and he accepted them. The picture was green, the description was grey. I think I've bought a grey tent, what colours are people using? I just thought green would blend in better...
