Bivi mod

I’ve got a Rab Storm bivi which is pretty spacious so I want to add a tie out to the outside to lift it off my face. I want to attach to the waterproof outer, anyone got any suggestions on a type of tie out and a glue to attach it with?

From looking at images I don’t think they’re interchangeable, thanks for the shout though.

WTD (long shot) BB7 adjuster knob

Just on the off chance someone has an old BB7 sitting around, I’ve lost the red exterior (hand twist) adjuster. If anyone has one spare I’m happy to shoot you some money or donate to a charity of your choosing.

Now if that isn’t the opening like to a 21st century remake of Civilisation with Kenneth Clark then I don’t know what is.

Re: And from the Cumbria police we have ....

A major change which I hope is just to add an extra barrier to entry rather than something they'll actually try to enforce is the LDNPA have changed their Wild Camping Page so that it now states it's not permitted anywhere within the park without prior permission whereas it used to say it was tradit...

Replacement rear derailleur

After 8 years of head abuse and sending it through the rear spokes twice, the 11 speed 105 rear derailleur on my Rose cross/gravel bike is looking damaged beyond repair. I can't complain as it's taken a real beating and had run on a 40 tooth cassette with a road link for the past two years pretty fa...

Re: Can wheels ‘undish’ themselves?

So did a DIY dishing check and turns out there’s virtually no difference in the dish (less than half the depth of a 1p coin). Could it be that the dropouts aren’t central compared to the stays? It’s still only rubbing occasionally when out of the saddle. Perhaps it didn’t used to rub on both sides a...

Can wheels ‘undish’ themselves?

As my newly invented verb title says really? I’ve had my signal about 8 months now and I’ve noted that it’s started rubbing the seat stay on the drive side, I don’t think it used to do this, it would occasionally rub on both sides when out of the saddle on uneven terrain but very rarely. It’s still ...

Re: What compressor

Thanks all, the SGS looks good to me, I'll try getting one or wait till they're back in stock. Do you really need a compressor? I probably don't need a compressor, and I have an Airshot which is great for being so portable. However, I tend to help friends out replacing tyres and setting them up tube...

What compressor

Having set up 2 sets of tubeless wheels this week, I’d like to get a compressor. Any advice on what I should be looking for? I’ll probably just be using it to set bikes up tubeless, top up bike and car tyres. I’d like to spend as little as possible but still get a reliable piece of kit. What volume ...

who is building the frame? as James alludes to, bosses near the head tube are potentially a focus of stress- for a few reasons. ti can be finicky that way, so Id want to know the builder is capable of assessing the outcome. I have a few ti frames and respect the builder enormously., he was not keen...

Re: Bottle/bag bosses

Just a couple of points; Presumably you'll need custom made bags for the frame mounted ones as there is no standard for dimensions (or is there)? Yeah I'll have to go custom, I'm hoping to have a crack at making my own frame bags soon. Do those seatstay bags not get in the way when pedalling? I hav...

Bottle/bag bosses

I'm currently designing a custom titanium frame and I'm nearly there with the geometry so I'm starting to think about where to include bottle/bag mounts and would appreciate the hive mind's thoughts. Are there any I should think about scrapping or add any more? Not sure if putting too many in has an...

Freehub bodies

Hi all, after ordering the bearings earlier, I rechecked the freehub body and it’s cracked next to one of the pawls. Its a 12 speed HG freehub body, does anyone know how you find a suitable replacement? Are all freehubs interchangeable or are they hub specific? I’ve emailed Alpkit but they seem swam...
