What frame and fork are you using?

Early Frames such as on one fatty, surly pugsly etc used rear disc spacing on the front

Front disc spaced 135mm hubs followed later.

Bearbones 200 black badge bike oddities

Whilst riding the fatbike to work this morning, i wondered what the oddest bike to achieve a bearbones200 black badge completion. Given bearbones is a niche subset of the cycling world, i imagine there to be a strong show of hands for singlespeed, fatbike etc completions, but is there any impressive...

Re: Gravel riders - Sore palms advice sought

Bigger tyres is the answer, comfort is king.

It’s why I specced my adventure bike to clear up to 2.8”.

Rode 4” tyres as a drop bar setup for gbduro and was one of the few people at the end with zero hand issues

Interesting the different distances it took them to reach cp1. Fiona rode a lot further than some of the others who beat her to cp1. I’d be useless at picking the optimum route! Re: Advice sought building a gravel bike.

I have a camino as my commuter, it’s great for the odd bridleway and mostly road (running specialised pathfinder pro tyres tubeless) The current frame design v4 is slacker and overcomes toe overlap issues for all sizes. Wouldn’t want to venture off into the wild with it though for multi day stuff or...

Would be interesting to overlay the route against the gravel dash 100 Charlie used to do and see how much shared route there was, that was a brilliant days riding, did it a couple of times.

Might have a look if I get 5

Re: My BB200 Black Badge (training) Thread.

Managed a black completion last year with just 1000miles in the legs all year come November. Having a young family and a big house diy project as well as limited commuting due to covid destroyed any regularity, didn’t do any training at all. All that happened relative to when I was fitter and strong...

I’ve just chucked a drawing in the pot for what I want - I was going to write need but there is no need, it’s all want. I loosely drew up the smokestone mr harry on the back of finishing gbduro on the bowti fatbike, it’s aim was to cover all the shortcomings of the bow Ti as a bikepacking bike. Migh...

I need to know before the routes are sent - so around a week prior to the start.

Are abe and Ben riding this as a pair? They’ve been glued together for over 200hours, can’t see how that can class as a solo classification if they are not racing as a pair.
