Re: Todays ride
A heavy week last week. 5 hours of ice skating and three bike rides totalling ~210KM; which is more than I've managed in months. I now have, what I hope is just, a stinking head cold.

Re: That Tent Question
I have a Lanshan 1 Pro, it's a condensation generator; I really wanted a Lunar Solo, but the opportunity was too good to pass up. I like the look of the SMD Skyscape Trekker 1P , but the lure of a Dyneema tent is quite high... You might be interested in reading this though - https://theradavist.com/...

Re: Schnozzle to Thermarest Winglock adaptor
This doesn't answer your question at all... I didn't even consider an adapter to get my Schnozzle working with my NeoAir, I just bought a BlockerLite Pump Sack . It annoyingly pops off very easily if you pump too hard, unlike the Schnozzle, but is suitable large and easy to use. However, I don't fee...

Re: BB200 2024
I was quite surprised by a few of the bikes and the narrow tyres choices last year. I fully appreciate that not everyone is able to have a stable of bikes, so you may just have to bring what you have. We've had multiple threads on here about what people think "adventure" cycling is, and ho...

Very cheery! Finally, at the age of 51, my vote has finally elected someone. The placard in the garden, the delivering of leaflets and other bumpf, has finally paid off.
Also off to Sheffield tomorrow morning, to pick up a kitteh!

Re: Gravel Bike Tyres
Pirelli Cinturato M. Close the thread. This... I found GravelKing's were too lightweight and puncture prone as a result, poor show in the wet too. The front would seal OK, but the rear always required plugging; this was with Orange Seal Endurance. They felt fast and were nice and supple, but ...

Re: Happy Monday!
I had a big off on Sunday. Popped into the local minor injuries just to see if I needed a stitch in my eyebrow and before I knew it was strapped down to a board and being transferred to Lancaster Infirmary. CT shows 5 broken vertebrae, so confined to lying flat watching the ceiling for the next 36 ...

Re: North York Moors 300
Wanted to do it, but didn't sign up as we had no idea what would be happening with daughter at this point. Either way, I'm not fit enough to get round that course in an enjoyable manner, so am definitely not up for doing it. In fact, I'm not even sure I'll be fit enough for a proper swing at the BB2...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
In the end I didn't resort to the emergency roller BaM, instead I cycled all of 800m down the High St to the local rec and wedged myself into a gap in a hedge. In the morning, I was going to do a, very, local loop, but about a third of the way round, I took one look at the sky and headed for the hou...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024
Was half packed to go out on Monday night. However, I ended up on a Zoom with the rest of my family giving them my news, it was too late and I was too wiped out; so I just went to bed. Had the bike all packed up and ready to roll so I could head out after ice skating last night. Didn't skate the who...

Belated, but managed to get four over exited 16/17 years olds to and from Wembley yesterday. Totally reinforced why I hate driving in London.

When it's a barley wine; it's more of a style of beer, not what a beer becomes when it's strong.
