Re: Highland Trail 2015
Activated track and it flashed at me all the way
My own follow me spot page had correct location with each check in message, just no tracking. HT550 track page still has my 'sign up' location from couple of days ago.

Re: Highland Trail 2015
I take it the trackleaders page only starts tracking once the event starts. Last nights test didn't track at all.
Also (numpty mode), with the basic package from Spot, tracking isn't available is it - only the messages sent show your position. Ta.
Can't decide on tent or bivi bag........

Re: Highland Trail 2015
Ilan, there are bike shops in Fort William and a small one in Ullapool (ullapool bicycles.com).
Don't know of any others. Best to assume you won't use any.

I‘ll be driving from Keswick via Carlisle and may have space in the van if anyone‘s sruggling for transport. Probably 10am Keswick, 11ish Carlisle on the Friday. May be doing an airport collect. Get in touch if interested. May be a long wait for a lift back though............

Re: Tubeless 29er Tyres - Any Recommendations
Any of the Specialized tyres seal well and are good value. Sidewall/carcass varies from light/puny through to heavier/sturdy in the order: S-Works - Control - Grid
I've found Racing Ralphs good to, for a hardpack tyre which can hold it's own in some slop.

Re: Lakes (Ulpha/Eskdale/Wasdale/Wast Water) GPX routes?
Routes from Ulpha to Wasdale are a bit limited and would involve a fair amount of tarmac, mud and hike a bike (which we all love right?). if you have to ride to Wasdale though: Road NE from Ulpha to climb BW past Wallowbarrow Crag to Grassguards. Continue NE onto forest road, turning left below Kepp...
