Re: What you done t' your bike today

Nice1 Phil. Reminds me that I need to think about something other than Shimano for the SC... Anyhow... After lots of faff over the week I was ready and freed up for a ride. No work so thankfully no excuses to not get out. Just needed some fettling on the steel bike as I couldn't be bothered to fetch...

Definitely a new skill that I don't ever wish to use again. Already been wondering about how to get my moneys worth from the tap, but I suppose it'll just have to sit derelict!

80nm? Is that Nnnnnnnneugh! or maybe up to getthatoffyoubuggers in British Standard engineering terms? Yes... it's basically effing tight but the torque I just checked with mu dads old torque wrench. I'll check the specs and maybe get my new tprque wrench out for em. Never had a problem before with...

Well done for sticking with it Shaf :-bd Although i have a strange mixed feeling of being both relieved & concerned :???: P.S. the ‘10’ on the head of the bolt is it’s tensile rating.. I get your concern. No, they've both gone in nicely without any sideqys stress torqued em to 80nm so hopefully...

Re: Off Topic - siezed, rusted, possibly double threaded, sheared bolt extraction advice!

My proper garage (now) is Lex Tec in Sheffield. Including parts and labour with 20% VAT... The last bill came to £1300 (or £1150) - 1x front bearing; water pump + coolant; rebuilding radiator [it's a thing]; 2 x front discs cos he walloped and broke it when removing disc for hub; sundries [£5 but I ...

Axle spacing? It's a Pro2 EVO. So worlds your oyster. Setup standard at the moment with quick release end caps. But there's boost available as well as standard thru axle end caps. I have a few different ends caps for an extra fiver if buyer wanted. But they'd have to check the documents on Hope web...

Hi. Seeling this wheelset as I'm having difficulty parting with it and need the cash for some fundraising activities (like you do... no bragging intended). All proceeds will be split (maybe not exactly and maybe not entirely) between CAGE (ask Gove) and for one of the Palestine project charities. Ho...

Keep it engineering related (buildings, bikes, motors, walls, roads... You get the gist). Behind every stressful point there's always a story and a lesson as well as coping mechanism. That said stainless bottle cage bolts corrosion welded into ally frames can be much harder as there is less to hack away at! And there's your occasional reminder to go loosen and retighten all the bolts! Far easier alloy bolts and steel frame but still …  IMG_5133.jpeg Nice1 Hyppy. Nice tap work yo...

I wasn't internet flaming at all and nor did I think anyone else was. This was in response to some explanations previously about business rates/insura...

NB. Let me know if you want pics of the pawls/innards. All looks good. Freehub looks a bit bitten but my cassette came right off without issues- so the orientation in which I'd tightened it on obviously worked.
