Thanks Stu, Dee, Chew and everyone involved. Sorry Stu for trying to blame you for the wetness. ;-) Sorry Chew for being grumpy when you signed me back in. ...and apologies to the guy I rode large parts of the second half with and never asked his name. :???: 23 hrs 51 minutes, in no way fast ...

Needle jumping can be caused by the pump not being on the valve properly.

Re: BB200 2017 Resupply Points

For those who are taking it steady/slow. Trout Inn at Beulah is a 3 mile round trip off the route and comes just after 66 miles. Then you could ride up to the bothy at the top end of the Caerwen resevoir (15-ish miles) sleep for a bit and then have 50 or so miles to cover on Sunday. If you're going ...

I knew that flat bit was the Claerwen Resevoir.

Hopefully I it won't be 3am and with horizontal rain like the last time I rode that track!

Ditto with a usb-werk.

...and I unplug the Revo in the day and still no issues with it being unloaded.

Re: Packable Down jackets

I have a Montane Featherlite which has been warm ( temps down to just below freezing has been my usage) and squishes down fairly small. Would be smaller if it didn't have a hood.

Re: Bikepacking evening wear? Jacket gilet down or synthetic

Generally I've found that if it's raining you won't be sat outside in it and therefore as long as you store/carry it somewhere dry a down jacket is fine even in our damp climate.

Re: Icknield Way

For anyone else, the GPX is here -> https://mtb.waymarkedtrails.org/#?map=1 ... 49!-0.4164

Just click the 'routes' button in the bottom right hand corner and then select Icknield Way, then you get an option to download the GPX.

Took me bloody ages to work that out!

Re: Going rigid? Or not

Is it only me that finds the initial cost of suspension forks another great reason for riding rigid? With a mid-level fork easily costing over £300, I simply can't justify the expense when weighed up against the potential gains. Agreed. Although carbon rigid forks seem to be increasing in price in ...

Icknield Way

Does anyone have a GPX for this?

Technically I only need the lower half to get from near Cambridge to Ivinghoe beacon.
