Enjoyed that Phil - nice to recognise some bits too. I wouldn't have dared try to kip at that lodge - it looks like the sort of place they would set the hounds on you!
Well done for facilitating access - carbon fibre bolt cutters - now there's an idea...

He does not even look tired chapeau Nope - he was quite happy to stand up and chat. Not out of breath or anything. Legend. Was he enjoying it? I think so. He said the Cheviots had been claggy and tough going, which isn't surprising given the rain we have had recently. He was pretty focussed - unsur...

I see you have changed the section from Jed to Hawick Ray to take account of the river bank collapse. You have actually routed the wrong way up a one-way street - Princes Street in Hawick is one way west to east since last year. There is also a much better off-road path from Burnfoot to the Leisure...

Black & White photos - fantastic. We should have a Black & White Photos Only Month..... There is something very romantic about black and white images somehow. Certainly often more atmospheric. Or maybe that's just me projecting a romantic image  . Either way, I like your B&W only...

+1 for bigger font please. Also as far as I am aware all posts on this forum are fully visible to the public without having to log in, ie via Google etc. I may be wrong about this but I am pretty sure it was the case when I last looked. If I am right about that then could we have it made so that you...

May and June for me and Borderer 2. We didn't do the months between Dec 2020 and April 21 btw, to save someone checking back. For May I have chosen one of the nights we camped at Loch Etive and June is on the beach at Barra. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/gORgjGM8KH4_VSvmkU2J5aZVGXOK0hoG8pqCEBaYB...

Quality industrials there Reg. I always like a bit of backstory to my rides to keep the interest too.

Re: HELP! Bike wanted
This was my first bikepacking/cycle touring bike and I absolutely loved it. It was a bit heavy at 14kg for a 16in so a large would be even more, but it was really well made and handled beautifully. For a new bike its a good price. Nothing to do with me - it's just the same place I bought mine 5 year...

https://www.hitrans.org.uk/News/Story/1260 I did wonder if we would get away with using one of those. We just wrapped ours in sheets of polytunnel plastic and taped them up. The bus from Ullapool to Inverness was easy - it had the huge luggage area underneath, but the one from Inverness to Edinburg...
