A big easy Cairngorms loop?

I've a pal who's wanting to do a big ride in the Cairngorms with friends, some of whom will be on gravel bikes.

I suggested the outer loop of the classic CG loop.

Any improvements on that?

I've done a good few miles fixed off-road over the years. That gearing, narrow tyres and no suspension.
