Re: Calling all Norfolk riders- advice sought

Cheers for the advice johnnystorm, as you said the route was a sloppy mud fest, extremely enjoyable nonetheless. Just to let you know, the Spar at Castle acre has closed, soon to be a fish and chip shop apparently. We ended up finding a lovely quiet copse on the Peddars way near Ringstead to bivvy i...

Calling all Norfolk riders- advice sought

Hello all, I've recently moved to the flat lands and will be setting off on my first ever multi day bivvy with a mate, along Peddars way, from Knettishall to Holme, very tame I admit. I was just wondering if anyone would be able to let me know of any decent bivvy spots either end of the route? Here'...

Re: The price of stuff.

As has been said price is relative. For me personally, with two boys, one home educated by my wife and the other a toddler, my money is not my own. This has definitely helped me appreciate the kit I do have, but it has to be durable, certainly not the lightest, but it has to do. Plus, once I'm on my...

If it wasn't my money, course not  . The thing is, each individual's experience on a bike differs hugely, probably best to get out there and try some different bikes. :-bd

I've got a vagabond, as said before, a bit weighty, but it never ceases to put a smile on my face.

Beautiful bikes and photos Johnclimber! On the last two photos, what handlebars are those, they look ideal for one of my bikes. Cheers

Re: So I've got the chance of a new...

Hi, I've got last years vagabond, basically the same spec, and I really enjoy it. I hadn't used bar end shifters before but am definitely a convert. Riding on the drops is fine for me, though I do want to change to a more flared handlebar. From my perspective it rides well, the frame is compact and ...

Re: Genesis Vagabond thoughts?

Hi, newcomer to the forum. I've recently got a vagabond and can say it's a fun and responsive bike, works well on a variety of terrains and seems to take luggage well. I will be changing out the stock handlebars for a more flared version, just personal preference, but I am really enjoying it. As the...
