Re: Recommend a carbon 29er frame

Ian, I like the look of that. Plenty of room for a frame bag as well

Any experience, or just like the looks?

Re: Recommend a carbon 29er frame

I keep looking at the Chinese frames but cant decide if its worths taking a stab. Riding long distances needs reliability but not sure it's I'll get it with the Chinese stuff. Like flv said at least canyon test there frames. The misses got a grand canyon ali frame and loves it. I do want a canyon du...

Re: Bridge camera for around £150?

I've just got a panasonic lumix tz70. Fanastic bit of kit. 30x zoom. Loads of options on aperture setting etc, and compact. Really happy with it. Was £209 me thinks from buyacamera.co.uk

Well worth a look

Re: Recommend a carbon 29er frame

I have been toying with the canyon for a while then felt the saving of buying just a frame and fork was justified but it is still a difficult decision. Also with the saving of not buying a complete bike I could then maybe look at getting the Canyon Dude (fatbike) as an add on to look at doing some w...

Re: Recommend a carbon 29er frame

Thanks for the offer but I would need a medium. I've heard that the lurcher is a bit too stiff. I'm coming from a pinnacle ramin 1 which is beautifully compliant. The only reason I'm wanting a change is due to some cable rubs that have occurred due to me not protecting the frame adequately. The cabl...

Re: 2016 Highland Trail route.

Trail717 you need to keep in mind that the route is being changed by Alan for this year so getting to Fort Augustus may take a different amount of time (not sure if it well be longer or shorter - just take note it is different). Fort Augustus petrol station is open until 9pm in the summer I think bu...

Re: Winter Bivvy Cymru - details

My misses (Cat) rang me up tonight to let me know she's trialled the main course tonight and loved it. Only got to decide starters and dessert then we'll be ready for the winter bivvy.

Re: Films to watch when having a weekend off!

I'd been told about G.N.A.R. before but never watched it......until tonight. Both me and the misses couldn't stop laughing.

Got me thinking that we should do a biking version :-)

Re: Films to watch when having a weekend off!

Just watch Road to Karakol followed by A Thin White Line.

Both great films that highlight in different ways the reason we take part in our own adventures and races. Really good watching something that you can relate to and aspire to at the same time.......

Right onto the next one.

Ive started early and watched 180 South. Enjoyed that, good recommendation!

The collective series of mtb films are really good. I even have the sound tracks on spotify.

Films to watch when having a weekend off!

As the title suggests I'm having a weekend off from work, riding or jobs around the house so looking for some inspiring adventure films to watch. Prefer true stories and documentaries. To give you an idea I really loved touching the void and really like mtb movies such as the vast and follow me, Alo...
