Am I missing something re the tailfin? It seems to be around £150, which is as much, if not more than most seat packs?!

Re: Recommend me a diddy saddle bag please

Don’t buy a Zefal one, the zips are useless. I had one go in about 3 months, with little use. The second one didn’t last that long:( I have some podsac ones from PX but I don’t think they make them anymore. I also have a bigger Ortlieb one, that attaches via a clip on the seat, that’s been great and...

Hopes work with them fine, going by various customer feedback on several retail sites. The tool is also in stock now too, which was an issue when I was looking for a 30mm BB before Xmas!!!

PlanetX have some welded bags in various sizes for pretty good prices. Also Wildcat have some nice double ended 8l bags.

Post to flatmount adapters

Has anyone got first hand experience of these adapters? I’m looking at some Force brifters, the are post mount while the frame is flat mount. They’re a bargain, but only if the will work well!
Thanks in advance!

Re: Would this work around standard brake calipers?

They only sit about 10mm out from the stem, the flat bit would need to be pretty much up to the stem for it to be an issue tbh.

Re: Would this work around standard brake calipers?

Also, there are several versions, the 5 or 6 will be much more usable than the urban thing. And probably a bit cheaper.

Re: Would this work around standard brake calipers?

In my opinion, and experience those mounts are sh*te, the wire is hard to get tension in, are a pain to remove and a nightmare to refit afterwards. And it gets worse every time you try to refit. You are probably going to need to move the light whatever bar bag you use. https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/lu...

Re: Would this work around standard brake calipers?

It needs a mount to fit to the bars, it won’t fit with zip ties.

Me too, they work really well. They don’t come with a bar mount though. You can normally get the bag and mount for about £70.

Re: Would this work around standard brake calipers?

An ortlieb will fit 42cm drops, I use one on 44s with plenty of space. The risen and Kaul bar fitting is better IMO, as it’s easier to remove/refit unlike the Ortlieb one.

Re: Would this work around standard brake calipers?

I don’t think it will fit aero bars looking at it. I’m going to order on shortly, it’ll be on both my commuter with v brakes and tourer/gravel/whatever with discs.

Aww Colin, you’re just trying to make me feel better😂
Fortunately I’m not in any real rush, I’ve had the frameset and most of the components now since June😊
