Re: “Utility” pannier racks and bags

I like the Ortleibs, my old commute used to take in a section of trail center, I used the smaller size, I also picked up a second spare lower hook to help hold the bags in place, exactly what the newer Garvel versions do.

Re: Epilepsy, riding bikes and bike packing.

Thanks for all the comments and advice all, it is really appreciated, I am glad it shouldn’t affect life too seriously once managed, seizures are short but can be brutal, thankfully I am fully aware when they to occur, going to look into an incident tracker for solo rides.

Re: Guilt issues over not riding.

Yes......and no, I have only ridden a few times since Christmas, a general desire to NOT be near a road and cars is fuelling it, I and actually going to seek out counselling to aid the anxiety issues, however I am walking a lot more, just to try and stay active and once this wind dies down a bit I a...

Re: Mirrorless camera rucksack for bikepacking

Bikepacking.com did a feature on the subject recently, should give you some insight, I use the Fuji system, I need to pick up one of the two pancake lens models, the camera will sit in a stem cell with ease.

Re: Anyone miss a triple?

I miss them, I used to love the 3x10 set up on my old Surly Troll, 22/32/42 on the front and an 11-36 out back, I could get up everything and never had any issues at all, I tried 2x but never felt comfortable with it for some reason, I am just living with 1x11 until sense is seen and triples are res...

Had a less than ideal start to the year, I am amazed it is only a slight increase, fingers crossed I can make some progress now.

Re: If you were to buy a E bike ??

I would go for an Orbea Wild HT, essentially an e-Loki which I really enjoyed. I have always been impressed with Orbea bikes, Neil the rep is one of the nicest blokes in the trade.

Re: Fat Fighters '22 - (The year of victory edition!)

Morning all, back into work today, but not taking things seriously until Monday, still too much x-mas cake left lol, my main goal is 125kg for this year, and to ride the Devon Coast to Coast in 1-2 days anything more is a bonus.

The carrier will probably add a fee for handling the customs charges. Although I just got a camera bag from Germany and I had no charges at all.

Re: Christmas!

I am not a Christmas person in the slightest, it all feels so fake and has no real value to me, I would rather some one sat and genuinely talked to me than send a gift I really don't need (they cannot afford) or a card, this year is tough as we had a death in the family at the start of the month and...

When I lived in Plymouth this used to happen every so often on the local trails, the police caught the offenders a couple of times, thankfully most traps did no harm. I think most offences are committed by people of a certain age and wealth bracket, the same people who never wanted to share stuff as...

Hopefully my wife.....well in hers, more fun. Actually hoping for some ND grad filters/holder for my camera. I don’t use mine anymore, exposure bracketing and photoshop have made them no longer necessary. I shoot film as well as digital, I try and get as much done outside of photoshop as I can
