Fork query

Morning! I have a question that you guys will surely know the answer to..... I'm currently investigating various 29er/69er possibilities and was wondering if any 26" rigid fork will take a 29" wheel??? I ask as I've found that On-one have their CroMo 26er MTB Fork on clearance for £29.99 I...

Re: Off-grid power options

didnothingfatal/Singlespeedpunk, thanks for that - i'll be honest, if i'd realised that there was a sub-tenner ready-made solution before i bought the MYOG kit then i'd most likely have taken the easy route and got one. but.....i've ordered my kit now and am really looking forward to making my own l...

Re: 29" Reba SL Forks - £130 NOW £100!

Arghhhh.....now you've peaked my interest if they will fit an Inbred 29er !! stuart, i'm heading first one way and then another with this whole 29er/69er thing and at the minute am also swinging between front-bounce and fully-rigid and so if you get an offer from someone else then go ahead and sell...

Re: Off-grid power options

Re: Off-grid power options

How long are you going for and how long does a set of batteries last? I would most likely just take spare batteries. i'll be away for 10 days. and.....it's not the AA and AAA batteries that're the problem (as i'd happily just carry a spare set of each and then replace 'em as necessary in little tow...

Off-grid power options

having recently discovered that the manufacturers stated run-time for my new video camera was ever-so-slightly exaggerated (by a factor of about 10!) i'm now thinking that i could use some kind of portable power. so.....does anyone know of a solution (on the market as opposed to in the R&D stage...

Re: 29" Reba SL Forks - £130 NOW £100!

Now this is a long story so I'll shorten it, to ... yes I still have them, the steerer is 160mm (ignore what I said up there ^^) and they're now £70 ;) ooooh.....160mm is a little shorter than would work with the components i already have but.....maybe changing the headset for something requiring l...

are these forks still for sale?

let me know (and i'll let you know when this idea is shot to pieces by wifey).

i'll leave the sales-talk to those who're way more experienced in these areas than me but.....i was recently in your position and, after much deliberation and research, i ended up going for: - sleeping bag: Vango Venom 300 - bivi-bag: Alpkit Hunka (XL) - mat: POE Peak Elite AC (2/3 length found onli...

Miffed!

today i am feeling a little miffed! i've been really excited since receiving my new helmet/bar-mounted video camera (nothing exciting - just a Kodak Playsport Zx3) and so today (even though it was COLD ) i went for a ride to capture my first HD footage of the amazing riding/scenery around here. so.....

Re: Sleeping bag stuff sacks?

I just rolled my sleeping bag up inside my bivvy bag which went in a dry bag on my bars, means quick and easy setup and pack up, would be even better if I could get my sleeping mat in too but it's just a bit wide. that's exactly what i as hoping to do but i'll need something a little bigger than th...

Re: budget sleeping bag - the sequel

The Rab has 350g of 560+ EU fill down. The Vango has 300g of 600 fill (as it's not stated we'll assume its US 600) just FYI (as i was interested because i have the Vango bag) i emailed Vango to check whether they EU or US rated down - here's their response: Hi, Gairy. Thanks for your mail. Our slee...
