Re: Todays ride
Yesterday's ride but still... Built the 1x1 up ready for winter, popped over to Edale for 4-5 hours. Trails were crazy busy, not seen that many people there all summer! Bike was a blast to ride, had a massive grin the entire time, still smiling now! :-bd https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5641/222357558...

Re: Whats lighting your ride?
I aim to have it pointing where I'm looking, if it's too low you end up craning your neck to see ahead and if it's too high, all scruching up your neck and shoulders. Thankfully the Exposure mount has a fair bit of movement so you can adjust easily as you ride. Once set it's fine for looking at the ...

Re: First GPS
I have an etrex 20 and like it, used for plenty of audax riding and off road stuff. If I was going to buy again I might consider the 30 on the off-chance I want to measure my heart rate or something (think the 30 does that...) but for now I'm not convinced that's worth the extra ££ for me. I should ...

Overheard something similar but laughed it off as I'll be in Florida and it's currently 30c there... Metoffice UK forecast doesn't say anything of any use... Re: BB200 Route Details
First BB200 for me, huge thanks to Stu and Dee for putting on a great event! :-bd Thought the route was really good, nice balance of on- and off-road and off-bike stuff. The temptation of tea and breakfast made those last few road climbs bearable (especially when being passed by AlanG and Ian and fi...

Re: Trans Atlantic Way June 2016
Still weighing up entering the MP, been enjoying audax but not done anything near that distance yet... it is a bit of a challenge though and does tick a few boxes riding through the Lakes and up to Scotland etc. Will need to sit down and look at what else is going on next year and see if things migh...

Re: strong and light tarp guy lines
Tried the ultralight, super thin dyneema stuff and found it far too fiddly to use (imagine pitching a tarp with dental floss...). Think I'm using some regular 2 or 3mm cord at the moment, easy to work with but not too bulky. Might treat myself to some reflective stuff at some point...

Not sure if this has been posted already but sounds like it could be quite fun, cross between a brevet and alleycat, with the freedom to choose your route on or off-road...Being organised by Mike Hall, info in the links below with sign-up closing in a week or so. 24th October 2015 // Llangybi Villag...

Re: Todays ride
Eaten out of the back of John's camper a couple of times - the food is a highlight of those Macclesfield rides for me. Tend to do Andy Corless' rides more when I get a chance, partly for convenience, partly for his evil routing. Been meaning to give Andy C's routes a go. He's running a 1000km this ...

It's amazing what you can do with a bit of URL guess work... although it turns out I did mis-read the article, the 27.5+ are being released in a few months. The impression I got was this was just a teaser/trailer for the company, not advertising a specific product. They're building a bit of hype around the launch of their new company and trying to entice people to check in when they launch... not exactly a radical marketing concept... There was an "...
