Re: Todays ride
80KM around the lanes of Cheshire, taking in some old hills forts, hike a bike (only out of politeness as it was a Sunday and the footpaths were busy - you could see people wanted to complain I had a bike with me but couldn't say anything as I was pushing), Roman bridges and lost lanes. Great to rid...

Re: Indian Pacific Wheel Race
Aren't they just extreme Audaxers? Perhaps the original bikepacking cyclists? Think the RAAM is a bad example, don't they have team support? Not sure why people are surprised that roadies like this event but don't want to go bikepacking. I would imagine there are a lot of people who have watched Le ...

The internal memory on the extrex is minimal at best, if hazard a guess that the file is too large for the unit on the internal memory

Needs two columns. Physically 58 (I know I know, many body parts "replace" themselves several times over a lifetime, so you end up like the "woodman's axe"). Mental age? Well..... "Reg" PS> Blast. Not 58. What I meant was 46 of course, as in "We're not one of thos...

Re: Tubeless... what do you carry in case of emergency
Would second the anchovy route although not had cause to try them yet. My thoughts about not wanting to rely on a spare tube are due to me thinking that the inside of my tyre is likely to be covered with sharp thorns etc which have been sealed by the stans. If I chuck a tube in I could see it insta...

Re: Spot, should be so simple...
Basics from memory;
Turn on unit with the top left button.
Leave in the open
Hold down the middle button on the bottom (two feet) for three seconds to activate tracking and the unit will flash
Away you go
(apologies if this is patronising)

Re: Golf....help please
I'd say no if you're worried about golfers. Some do like an early start, first light etc
If you're not worried about them, go for it
Also I would push my bike along the footpath (and try not to run over any daffodils too...!)

Can you call your H drive Garmin (I assume it's a card?) and this will confuse your unit into thinking it's garmin and then it will read your files?
