Re: Whats been your favourite-est forks ever?
Probably Kona project 2 forks, although they came on the front of a brand new 1994 cinder cone which was such a massive upgrade from the previous Saracen it's hard to isolate the effect of the forks! Otherwise, Sunn obsys upsidedown DH forks on the front of my Sunn Radical. They were such an amazing...

Re: Anyone have a 'micro camper?'
I never did the full conversion, but slept comfortably in the back of my old vauxhall combo a few times. No bulkhead, and some magnets to hold a curtain over the windows made all the difference. I'm 6'2, so for someone shorter then it would work better. Prior to that van, I had a Peugeot partner whi...

Could you sew half a pop stud (plastic one, like on the bottom of cheap duvet covers) into the lining, and then glue the other half onto bar end plugs?

Re: Today's Run
Taking some pointers from the above, I managed a reasonably quick and hilly 40 minute run between online lessons today.... Left my phone at home, got covered in ankle deep mud, and came back filthy, cold & in a great frame of mind to teach my Y7 class and get on with the rest of the day.

I've got one which lives in the boot of my car, with a load of carrier bags in so I can grab it to go into the supermarket.
Another one has my climbing boots and chalk bag in for when I'm off bouldering or hitting the climbing wall after work

A cycling cap under the headtorch does a decent job of avoiding glare when I run in glasses.. not sure how it would work with a side mounted one, but may be worth a go?

Re: Who's got wide drops?
I tried wide bars, and thought they were nice to ride, but swapped to somewhat narrower salsa cowbells (or possibly bell lap, can't remember) as the wide ones didn't fit through all the access restrictions on my commute. Shame, as the shallow flared shape did feel better on rough bits in the drops.

That's great, thanks for sharing... Looks a route I'd quite like to try in the run up to next year's (hopefully) Bob Graham... Shout if you want any mules, I think I offered before, can't remember. Paddy planned for myself. Thanks. Planning on going solo or as a pair with a bag dropped about half w...

A second fan of the planet X ones here. Snug fit is a must, and wash them at 30 without fabric conditioner. I'm sitting with one on under my work shirt now, as I rode to work and wanted to stay warm. I don't think it stinks!

Pretty much what Cheddar man said from me too. Both my kids have the £3.99 decathlon ones (I think they're doing free delivery today too), and I've had a couple of alpkit ones over the last decade. Happy with all so far.
