Re: Winter Gloves

OK - so I commute to work in Norway by bicycle and we have proper winters here, but also have more clod and wet days than full on cold and dry. As you all know, cold and wet is the worst possible combination for gloves to have to protect again. So what do I use for winter: My go to gloves (the ones ...

Re: Tubeless recommendation for fat bike

Just google "ghetto tubeless fatbike" and you have all the information you need. Gaffer/gorilla tape or split tube, or even keep it tubed but go with 26 x 2.6inch DH tubes (my preferred option as its lighter). Most folk will be gaffer/gorilla tape, some will use the split tube..... I have ...

My experience of the O.R. Helium - as long as its windy its OK but as soon as its only a light breeze, the condensation takes over. Yes its light, yes its very compact, yes it works, but its a long way from perfect in Welsh "real world" conditions.

Re: Ladies jerseys are GO - more info.

I assume that first line is standard women's sizes? The top line is the manufacturers size code. The second line is their equivalent sizing for the standard unisex jerseys ... ignore it unless you have one of these to compare against. Line 3 us the actual chest size of the ladies jersey. So which s...

Re: Racing in Norway anyone?

Having already covered most of the route, the roads are nice, the route itself is very "Norwegian" (you will get to see a bunch of the tourist associated images of Norway), and the price seems good value seeing as you get a tracker and beer at the end (remember this is Norway). The only th...

Just the commute to work, but the 4 am sunrise (the sun rising in the North this time of year....) is one of my favorite things.

Re: A Flat Pedals Question

Firstly you will need to "unlearn" your clipped in bad-habits (of pulling up on the peddle with the cleat on the "up stroke") if you want to utilize flats to their best effect. You have developed your riding technique over the last 20+ years the depends on you being able to "...

How much do you want to pay for the pair (as I don't remember how much they cost).

Looks like I have an average tool kit after all. Just bought a Tubolito which had lopped a whopping 220g from my total. 29+ tubes weigh a ton. A bit of a cull of some other stuff should help too. I'm toting a digi pressure gauge and a fairly massive Lezyne mini floor pump thing currently. Surely I ...

I have only one comment on this from my limited experience. I find I can have the same freehub body for years and years with either 2x or 3x setups. Since getting a 1x setup, I am getting through freehub bodies at a rate of one every 500km. Maybe I am just unlucky or my hub body itself is "out...
