Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...

After a couple of tweeks from my prototype on the left to the finished one on the right, it's now time for Norseraft to decide on the finished colours of their new Knarr bike carrying pack raft. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53126083457_668cfe6357_k.jpg When packed https://live.staticflickr.co...

Ali Express issuses

I've bought stuff off Ali Express before without any problems in the past But I've just seen a "copy" that sells at £250 from source for just £43. I know it's too good to be true, but it's got to be worth a punt. My question is, has anyone had any bad experiences with Ali Express lately or...

For those of us who signed up to OS Maps online last year my annual automatic subscription email arrived priced at £28.99. Still great value for money, but this was followed by another email offering new subscribers 30% off using the code SUMMERWALKS but £8.70 is £8.70 Of course this is offer is onl...

Re: Aeroe Fat Spider?

Yep I have one on my Bat Fastard I'ts brilliant and very well built, you don't notice it when it's not loaded, but because you need a torque wrench to get the straps at the right tension I CBA's taking it off and putting it back on again, so it lives on the bike full time now. When packed I use 2 x ...

It'll look fine once you are on the watter. Plus there is something to be said for having a raft that is fairly visible... Good value for the weight - I was heading for an MRS raft before John sold me his! Alpacka is the one that every packraft company looks to as the number 1 in quality MRS are nu...

My first fat bike was the Mk1 Mukluk, I had the first one in the UK.
I never wanted a steel fat bike so when they announced the Aluminium Mukluk I imported one when times were easier to do such things
A great bike

Re: Iceland Divide 2024: need advice on tent, sleeping mat and stove

Iceland is a fantastic country but very fickle with its weather.
Expect, plan and train for riding into an all day head wind full of rain and hail.
And if you get a good weather window it will be a bonus
