Folding bikes

I’m very interested in getting a folding bike, mainly for little trips while working away. I’ve a possible trip to Serbia and Venice and taking a full sized bike is impractical. Also I could use it on central London gigs ( unless I need 200kg I’d test weights) Obviously the Brompton has come to my a...

Re: Hot and bothered

I find as I get older I like the heat less and less, I coped ok on the Spanish C2C but I did commit the MTB crime of wearing only Lycra  I also need lots of water, I’d fill up two big bottles compared to Duncan’s one, I’ve noticed that reg only uses one tiny bottle as well. I’m a ‘compact’ out...

Re: What you done t' your bike today

Gave it a gentle pat on the way into the house after 9 days in Devon with the family. I could have left it there when I was riding last week but took the unusual decision to leave it at home. I have to admit sitting on the beach with Devon’s hills in the background was torture, Next weekend is mine!

I’ve a paramo which I love, its a bit of a microclimate inside when working hard, you do feel the perspiration but never wet, however too warm until autumn/winter. My summer top in an OMM which seems to keep me dry while breathing well. The outdry didn’t work for me, I found it much like wearing a b...

I’m after a 11 speed rear wheel for my boys bike,
135mm QR, XD driver disk :-bd

Any one got anything suitable? I’ve some nice Sram 11 speed hardware kicking about and it seems a shame not to use it.

Re: SRAM mech compatability

I can adjust it so it goes up ok-ish but then not down and when it does it takes three changes before it moves at all. Likewise down ok but not up smoothly. Fingers crossed the new mech sorts it. Never had a problem like this before I had a similar problem with my rival shifter, after trying new ca...
