I haven't seen anyone mention the Tour Aotearoa on the forum and after lots of surfing I think
this might be the next project for me after the TD.
The first running of this end to end race of New Zealand is planned for 2016 and it looks pretty special :-bd

I went to see the European Outdoor Film Tour 2013 at the Royal Geographical Society in London and it was really good. Managing to get some good miles in despite the weather, Whitefish Pass and Richmond had over three miles of hike a bike due to snow, avalanche debris and fallen trees. I found online the little gem about four batteries in line etc. perhaps that is the problem.

The Hope works with "normal" batteries and I have tried two different packs of the new lithium batteries purchased off flebay and neither lot worked, the lithium batteries do seem very light.

Brand new out a packet they won't power my Hope Vision light but do work OK in
