Open to offers on these, as I just need to clear some space, and the Mrs is nagging me to get rid.

Re: Bikepacking / ITT specific coaching.
I enjoy bikepacking. I find it relaxing, socially engaging, fun, albeit physically demanding at times. I'd say I'm relatively experienced when it comes to bikepacking, but not as experienced as others, of course. On the other hand, I know sweet FA about 'Ultras'. This year, I've made the decision to...

Re: Recommend me a GPS
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but beyond the "power issues", are there any GPS units out there that have the screen, interface and processing power of a smart phone? I currently use a Samsung S10 (I think) running GPXVIEWER Pro. It's immeasurably better than my previous Garmin Etre...

Fat slick tyre
Hi all.
I'm looking for a slick road tyre in the 40mm width range. Any suggestions please? Google isn't finding much.
Thank you

Re: PCR 2024
Are any details available? I'd probably quite enjoy it but suspect the price is outside what I'd willingly pay for a GPX file So the race date is 6th July 2024, entry opens on the 10th of Dec and in previous years its been £425 all in, I believe. Given that this is the last year, I'm very tempted b...

Re: PCR 2024
It’s going to be the last one as we know it. Wonder what they’ve got in the pipeline for the future? Yeah I believe 2024 is the last. If I understand the website info correctly there will be three routes this yeah; short, long and the "Magnum Opus" only available to previous riders, so I'...

GPS Unit of choice?
Hi all.
Just out-of curiosity, what's the current mid range - top end, GPS unit of choice these days? Looking for a visual "line on a map" unit, as opposed to turn by turn / audio prompts, please.
Thank you

Thanks for the advice folks. I've actually decided to just sell my Five Ten Trailcross XTs, in the classifieds, and just buy the GoreTex version in half a size up, as I actually love the shoes

SOLD
Up for sale are my Five Ten Trailcross XT shoes. They're a 12, but I'd suggest more like an 11/11.5 tbh. Good condition, but as you can see in the picture, the little collar around the upper neoprene sock has started to come undone. I'm sure it can be fixed by someone who knows a needle and thread o...

Flat shoes - recommendation
Hi all. Curious as to everyone's waterproof, flat MTB shoe recommendations please? I've ridden in Salomon vario speedcross trainers in the past, which were comfy enough, but not actually cycling shoes. I've also got some Five Ten Trailcross shoes, but find them a little narrow, and bizarrely, not wa...

Catalyst pedals?
I have large feet. Size 12-13 depending on shoe brand, and also find SPDs something I'm no longer comfortable riding with. I spotted these Catalyst pedals today and like the idea that they're good for the larger of foot, but also that you use your full foot, nit just ball. Has anyone had experience ...

Re: Cinder track. Scarborough to whitby
For all those who gave advice, I'm back and have to say it's a great little route. My son loved it, in both directions. The gradient is very deceptive in that it never actually feels up or down... its simply a case of feeling flat but you can either free wheel it, or you can't. Also, the blue trail ...

Re: Tiagra cassette range question
Thanks for all the advice folks. I'm thinking that I'll just try a cassette and mech extender and see what happens. I'm assuming I just need any 10sp, wide range cassette that's hyperglyde compatible? Like this https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/shimano-m4100-deore-10-speed-cassette?color=silver&...

Tiagra cassette range question
Hello all. I'm currently riding a Pinnacle Arkose D2 2030 gravel bike, which I love to bits. I've always assumed I'm just rubbish at climbing, but, people wiser than I, pointed out on the WRT, that I'm running some pretty chappy gearing for climbing. In short, its stock Tiagra from the shop, so: 2x1...

Re: Cinder track. Scarborough to whitby
Is anyone familiar with a, mainly, traffic free cycle route between Scarborough and Whitby called the cinder track? I'm heading up to Yorkshire with family next week and we're planning to cycle this route, but I've heard various stories about the trails surface, with it "appearing to be 99% pa...
