Re: Bivvy a month 2020.

Hi Lazarus I had a similar predicament, usual old man piss, trying to keep one foot in/on the bivvy whilst try to piss far enough away to avoid it seeping back on me. I bivvyed at the little lookout on the rocky outcrop opposite (ish) the Sailing club. Loads of nice wee trails at Braefoot if you lik...

Re: Bivvy a month 2020.

Well that was fun. :-bd Really wild night glad I used a bivvy (academic really as I only have a bivvy bag at present). A tent would have been gone. A wee ride down the Fife coastal path and slept at one of the WW2 emplacements.

Ardbeg, Old Pulteney, last trip had some Daftmills (beautiful dram). Though I've also tried a wee bottle of Jägermeister as a chaser to some Old Jock beer very nice :-bd

Re: Carrot/Stick idea.....

Hang on, I'm confused. I thought initially that it was just each of us stumping up charity cash if the other succeeded (so said £100 to make it a sufficiently motivating amount) but then you said..... I'm up for that, £100* To a charity of your choice if I fail BAM, you pay a £100 to a charity of m...

Re: Tell me about budget turbo trainers.

I have the Tacx flow, bought secondhand for £70, Use it with Zwift. I recommend both as an easy way to get the miles in during winter. I leave my road bike set up in it and then its just a matter of changing start Zwift and away you go. They have a few training programs, so I normally work my way th...

Sold it  I did strip it down and service it before passing it on to it’s next rider. The bike was nothing special to anyone else (Genesis Core 20 with 26” wheels) but owned it from new and had various adventures along the way  Awaiting it’s replacement courtesy of Cotic :-bd
