Re: Which part of the world do you live, and do you like it?
I live in Fincham in Norfolk. I'm mid way between Downham Market and Swaffham, with King's Lynn, just 20 mins away. Also only a short drive or 35 minutes on the train from Cambridge, where I grew up. London is only an hour and 20 minutes on the train. Properties cheap, but there isn't a huge amount ...

I worked in a shop for many years, we always likened it to High Fidelity.
I don't remember spouting lots of BS, but knowing too much on a subject you become very opinionated about what is good/rubbish.

Re: A Waist Pack for Touring - UD Kaviti
I've used a North Face one that I got off of STW for a tenner. Takes two bottles and a fair amount of carry space and straps for other stuff to be lashed on. Rode BB200 the other year with it. I like to leave it a little use and have not found many issues, far better than a rucksack

Elbow pain/stiffness on long rides
I get stiff, sore, painful elbows on longer rides. I use Jones loops and Odi grips and have tried shifting my position, but can't go anymore up right. I wondered if a set of Ergon GC1 grips might help?

No seem to be alright, don't have a huge call for torx, but did all my T25 bolts earlier and all was well.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
A trip to Aldi earlier turned up a nice torx set for £3.99, they also had 1-10mm Allen key sets with ball ends for the same price. Worthwhile for the workshop.

I have a pair of Surly hubs on Salsa rims. They are good and straight, screw on and nutted rear.
Ideally want to sell the pair though.

Re: Not the best BB200 training ride
I was rushing through a single track section and bumped my arse down on the back of the saddle for a pedal turn, then back up out of the saddle. Sat back down to find that I had snapped the head off of the USE sumo, ouch! Just bad luck I'd say, not a packing issues, just wear and tear.
