Re: R.I.P. Mike Hall

I've never met Mike but his results have been astounding. Dot watching and reading the forums meant an epic finish was on the cards. We've lost both a legend and the most compulsive cycling viewing that eclipses all the recent British cycling achievements. I can't think of any other deaths that have...

About 6mins in, shows a photo of one of the emergency shelters that are around the coast. Probably no use for cycling though?

Gutted, got to spend the weekend in Cardiff, whitewater paddling at CIWW & drinking beer on a friends stag do.
Still, atleast i've got time to get fit for WRT 2018!

First time tubeless

Black Friday won... New 27.5+ bike* on it's way but anyone care to explain this tubeless stuff? Do punctures happen? what do you do? what about changing tyres?

Any advice?

Cheers Rob

Not so much the postman but feel the need to share... Found these at a local outdoor shop (Taunton Leisure @ Exeter) http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj85/Robbokayak/DSCF6209.jpg Could be a useful idea. Put it on the lip of the mug after it's been on the stove. Happy Hot Lips everyone! I'll never...

Re: The post man's been ...

New Bike Friday? Bought form the local bike shop after I rang them & mentioned the Swintertons price. Not an exact price match but good enough to still feel a warm glow of keeping it local. Now, what tyres for on slightly rougher trails? What pressures. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj85/Ro...

Re: Bargain Alert Thread

No photo i'm afraid but the local asda's (Paignton, Devon) have cheap 2 led head torches with a proper sliding switch for £1.25. Probably not much more weight than the Petzl e+lite zip emergency head torch Good enough for a back up or in the car. Ideal for loading the toys back on the car roof in th...

Re: Post-WRT : The Twilight Zone

I don't know about twilight zone, but I find myself in the disappointment zone. We had planned a 128 mile route. Basically a clockwise route taking in around half of the GRs. However, it was apparent by the time we got to Aberdovey that this was going to be too much. My buddy was already knackered,...

Thanks to Stu and Dee for another great weekend. Cheers also to Darbeeze for another great route around Wales. Re: Tyres...any suggestions for BB200

Hi, For this years WRT I had Schwalbe Land Cruiser MTB Tyres on as our route included a reasonably amount of road & the off road sections were fine. They may be heavier than some but I reckoned the central tread would help & the puncture resistance would be useful. Certainly it was smooth on...
