Vango Force 10 Helium UL 1. Wanted something more weatherproof than my mini DD tarp & quick to put up. Weighs 1150g all in, poles pack down to 400mm, fly sheet pitched 1st and takes ~7-8 mins to pitch. I can sit up in it and its very stable. Far less p!ssing around than my cheapo Chinese tent. £...

Re: Way betterer this year ... Chilterns Winter Bivvy
I'll be well for up joining this years winter sojourn, the dreaded 'Noro Bottom Burps' got the better of me last year, trust me, you wouldn't have wanted me around X_X X_X X_X !!! I know the trails quite well around Berko and out towards Princes Risborough so would be happy to help with a route near...

Re: Creating a GPX track with markers
Bikehike.co.uk lets you save gpx files as either 'Track' or 'Route'. If you select Route, I think you'll get turn by turn navigation on the road (doesn't do this off road). Do a little trial route home / work perhaps?

Slippery Borah Gear bivi bag
1st time using new bivi bag last weekend, great little piece of kit, but the material’s really slippery on the inside. I’ve got an Exped inflatable mat inside the bag, but there was a tiny bit of slope to the left where I pitched, such that the mat effectively slid to the left inside the bag and the...

Don't forget the Synmat HL wide version. I'm a fidgety side/front/back/upside down sleeper and the extra width is nice.

Re: Do we need another gilet order?
Nice one I'd like one of the short sleeve cycle tops (with pockets & front zip as an ideal).Bearbonesnorm wrote:With you. Probably no reason why we couldn't add jerseys to an order (we've done both long and short sleeved in the past) but not T shirts. The cycling tops you showed as an example artwork.

A full 48 hours and no one's posted to say - "I've worked my route out, it takes in all the GR, is 170km long and contains 4322m of ascent". Standards appear to be slipping  I also think we may have also managed to avoid any GR in the Irish sea this year :-bd ... well on said topic,...

I'm defo in in this. RIP, do thou think I'll get away with putting a tent up under the gamekeepers nose (mmm straying into double entendre tertiary here) its reasonably dark green, nothing to luminous, or is it bivvy only (I do have a summer bivvy bag if needed)?
