Thanks James. I'll venture into my garage with a ruler and see how much space I have!

Re: Crank Compatibility

Get a Sigeyi Axo PM - I have two and they have been 100% rock solid. I'm sure they're great, but I'm looking to spend as little as possible, hence used (not least as I really can't be bothered with all this training bullshit any more). Seems longer spindle to me as all non drive crank arms were end...

Re: Crank Compatibility

I see. I assumed the Q-Factor was controlled by the length of the spindle, but you're saying the crank arm would be shaped differently too?

Tedious. Means virtually no chance of finding one (obviously lots of roadies use them, very few MTBers).

Crank Compatibility

You lot are pretty knowledgeable about this sort of thing... Anyone know what the crank compatibility is like for the old XT M785? I want to keep my eye out for a used power meter to throw on my old trainer bike (my ancient trainer is only providing power readings intermittently now) and I'm not sur...

Really enjoyed my time on the Trans Balkan Race (injury aside), so would love to do something like that.

Sadly I'd realistically never be able to spare the time to do the whole thing though.

I was slow enough on the descents already!

In reality I just needed to be more aggressive about overtaking. It's not something I'm good at / always feels risky.

Re: Last month's run - a health warning PSA

How did you know you had clots in your leg before it got to PE stage? I was assessed for what was suspected as a clot but dismissed as unlikely. First time I had the same thing, thought I'd pulled a calf muscle. Doctor assumed clot was unlikely due to my fitness levels, but I went to the hospital a...

Re: Last month's run - a health warning PSA

I've had three clots in my legs, but thankfully none ending up in PE. I did have to have a filter installed / removed... which remains one of the most terrifying experiences I've ever gone through (not least when the surgeon managed to lose the hook on removal, only to thankfully be able to grab it ...

Still the hardest thing I've ever done... though I suspect trying to keep my damn tyre inflated for the last 8 hours of it had a big part to play in that. :|

---- Starting Weight ----
06/01/24: 69.4kg

---- Past 3 Weeks (7 Day Rolling Average) ----
13/07/2024: 60.9kg (+0.1kg)
22/07/2024: 60.7kg (-0.2kg)

All relatively stable. Still way too much stress going on though. :(

Last night, this . Oof. So good. Bonus, my camping mug still had a trace of the taste this morning, which made my coffee that little bit extra. Slept like a baby, too. Re: Fat Fighters '24. The year for deflation!

Weight is absolutely all over the place right now. Today's reading was 59.1kg, which is the second lowest I've got a record of (possible I was lower in university, but no way to know for sure). I can only assume I came back from TBR with serious swelling and it's finally starting to go down. Either ...

Hopefully I’m not patronising but my limited Google skills suggests the double chainset comes up as M9120 rather than M9100 M9100 is just the series. Hang on, isn't there a new unused xtr double in the classifieds? Fairly near the top as garage or clear out sale?? https://bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk...

Buying hard to find bike parts? (Shimano)
