Re: Jacobs Ladder Sunday. Who did I meet

Well I did say "Enjoy the rest of your day" :-) Although marshaling on top of a pass probably isn't that enjoyable! I didn't want to overstay my welcome, very important business "dibbing" runners. Anyhow Andy from Saddleworth. I think you're in the Rucksack club too? Might see yo...

Re: 27.5 plus tyres for mixed conditions ie Trans Cambrian

I wouldn't touch the WTB light casing tyres. The Rangers came as standard on my Tarn, they didn't last one ride. SO thin! I've currently got Nobby Nics 3". The back tyre is a bit overkill, it's the "double wall with foam reinforcement", but it was used for a week at Zona Zero, Spain, ...

I've just bought a Tarn 20 2017 for £1100! Absolutely love it, but ditch the tyres asap. Very thin sidewalls.

A Genesis Tarn 20 has just come through the letterbox!
Bought from Wheelbase in the sale. £1100 reduced from £1800!
That's one heck of a discount, I think someone had marked it up wrong on their website. Noticed the page had been taken down after my order went through

Quick poll.. 30t or 32t front ring on a 29er...?

Just about to push the button on a new Solaris. Oh, the 1st world stress of choice in this world of bike standard uncertainty!! ;-) So wadda you use up front? 11-42 cassette. I'm going 1x11 (or 12), well probably not 12, cos I'm not rolling in dosh.. The demo Solaris had a 30t front ring, which is w...

SPD shoes for extended hike a bike? Lakeland 200 content!

So if it's not absolutely hoofin' down on the 20th May, then I'm going to have a crack at the LL200.

My XC shoes are falling apart, so looking for something like the Giro Terraduro...
Any other suggestions? Not too keen on the skateboard style of things...

I've got one, got carried away by the jetboil image thing...
Took it back(not bike)packing, and it's ok. But bloody heavy.

It now lives in the back of our stealth campervan, for when I want a quick brew with out getting the double burner set up.

I've only blinking well done it! ;-)

https://openmtbmap.org/

Clicked on the Spain map link, opened it, went through a wizard set up. Then it magically appeared on Garmin Basecamp and I then sent it to my Etrex.

It's clever stuff t'internet...

How do I...Spanish OSMcycle for my holidays on an Etrex30?

Heading down to Ainsa/Zona Zero in a few weeks time, there are loads of downloadable routes, but the worldwide map that came with the etrex isn't detailed enough. Can I download a map to the device? I've got the cheap OSmap on a card, that I use mainly. I'm sure this is dead easy for some but if you...

Cafes to head to from Llanbrynmair? ;-)

Sorted a nice little route from there this weekend. We're going to discover the source of the river Severn...well every ride needs an objective! But it has been pointed out to me by Mrs Polisherman, that heading there via the Lead mines at Bryn-y-tail, we don't seem to pass much cake. Any suggestions?
