Thank for that, looks like a great route.
Not sure I could do it in two days like you.

Re: Suffolk Coast
Hi.
Looks like a great ride.
I live somewhere in the middle of that route, I would like to give it a go sometime.
Any chance you have the route in another format, something I can use with Ride with GPS. I don't do Strava.

Re: Bivvy a Month 2021
Well that was close. I managed to get my March camp in on Wednesday night. Once again it was in the back garden, but that will be the last time. I made the most of the nice weather and got a nice 40 mile ride in, stopping for a brew on the way. Next month it will be a proper night out in the woods. ...

Re: New member saying hello, and a question about camping
When I had chosen my spot for my first local camp and before I went out and camped there, I rode there late one night and just sat there for an hour or so with a coffee in the dark to see if I could see anyone about or if there were any houses I hadn't noticed. It was amazing how much noise there wa...

Re: Strictly Local
I looked into riding the boarder of my home County of Suffolk after reading about ex pro road cyclist Rochelle Gilmore, who rode the boarder of New South Wales. Her ride was an impressive 5000km and took her 35 days. The Suffolk boarder is a mere 300 miles and should take me 3 days. I have decided t...

Re: Anyone else only eat once a day?
I have no problem with exercising any time during the first 12hours of a fast, after that I probably wouldn't do much more than walk the dog around the block.

Re: Anyone else only eat once a day?
I regularly do two weeks of 18/6 fasting and sometimes go 24hrs without eating. Once I get past 8hrs without eating I find it quite easy to keep going. Then when I doo eat its not a massive meal. I try not to eat too many carbs(sugar) so very little bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. I have plenty of m...

Re: Anyone else only eat once a day?
I find if I am busy I can go all day without food, the odd black coffee is enough. I quite like eating only once a day.
If I have nothing to do, as can happen at work sometimes I tend to graze all day. I guess that's boredom.

Re: NO! Just no.
My son enjoys half a tin of cold beans as a "starter" (his words) while waiting for the other half to be served on two slices of butterd toast.
I personally, used to have pickled onions on top of my wheatabix with milk, so my mother tells me.

Can't you bend the front and back of that rack so it will take you required pizza size?

Re: Bivvy a Month 2021
The weather looked like it was going to get wetter then colder(and it did) so I decided last Thursday was my only chance to get a decent ride in before I go away for work. I managed a lovely 40 mile ride with a stop for a brew in the sun. Once home I pitched my tent in the garden and then went in th...

Re: Suffolk Coast
The remains of a chapel at 52.236319,1.620939 was reinforced during the war as a lookout post and has just had a stained glass window put it that'll keep a bit of the seabreeze out. Edit: correct chapel linked this time! I walked past that Chapel earlier in the year with the family, I thought it lo...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2021
I really wanted to do BAM last year but due to this and that it didn't happen. So with the option of using my garden due to the current situation, I had no excuse to not start the challenge this year. I pitched the tent when it stopped raining, about 9pm. Went back in the house until the good wife w...

Re: Coffee bags or other options
I have been using these coffee bags I found on Amazon. I fill them with freshly ground coffee of my choice before I go, seal the top with an old pair of hair straighteners(not mine)and then tear off the top to use. They take some time to pour but you can choose your own coffee and how much to fill t...
