Not just Shimano eh, I’ve been after a Sram force 11spd mech shifter for a while. It seems every time I go to chain reaction I’ve just missed them!! And no one else seems to have stock, pairs at least:(
I don’t think the Suez thing is going to help!!

That was my point be honest.
As Billy Connolly once said “hanging’s too good for them, it’s a good kick up the @rse they need!!”

Bit worrying that adults need educating about taking rubbish home/away and not to leave dog sh*t lying about no?!
Maybe I’m just a little too idealistic

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I would agree, I take a “keep” cup on rides with me for coffee stops.
Problem is, at the moment non of the places I use will fill my cup as they don’t want to handle peoples cups with the Covid thing. Not sure how long that’s going to last, well beyond re opening in some cases I suspect:(

Good man, those were 2 of my choices so appreciate taking one(two?) for the team.
I’m pretty easygoing about what I eat too, if it’s presented to me, but might be a step too far to pack what I know is going to be a sub par experience

Cheers, I may have a rethink then
Have you tried any of the others yet? Are you going to bother even?!

Re: (Vegetarian) Quality Dehydrated meals: what options might I have missed?
Like the look of the Huel stuff, especially as it effectivley uses less packaging. I had a quick look on their site but couldn’t see an option to choose what meals you get, is that possible? I’m ok with the £50 spend as at that price per meal it’s cost effective to carry as a lunch on a crappy cold ...

Looking for swap, brooks C13
A bit of a long shot I’m sure, but worth a try. As the title suggests I am looking to see if anyone has a C13 145mm version who would prefer a 132mm version?! I’m after a straight up swap at this stage, mine is in perfect condition having only been ridden a couple of times. It’s ok but after more th...

You can link them. I often use mine through a wheel or locking a brake lever on, so they have to run carrying it rather than ride it away.

Re: Clunky fork
Sounds like a loose headset as per PaulB2’s comment.
Try loosening the stem bolts, then tighten the stem cap until the play stops, but not so much that the forks won’t turn, then retighten the stem bolts and you should be good. If it persists then yeh, possibly the headset is humped.

Re: Iceland from the East to the West?
pretty bad flies in the Highlands in july to Sept if there's no wind!! fortunately that's not that often. While riding Rte35 one summer they were so bad I was really annoyed that I was riding with a following wind, it meant the little buggers could keep up   The wind tends to get a little...

Re: Iceland from the East to the West?
Headwinds aside, the bleak desolation is what appealed to me, its very attractive to be honest. When people say is just black and grey maybe they were just unlucky, the colours(especially the greens!) are amazing.

That does look like a great deal. Might even be tempted myself. Though maybe something from their range that can take a bike being strapped to it, especially if that’s an indication of the pricing.

Re: Iceland from the East to the West?
In terms of food costs the aforementioned garage/diners were ok for pizza, burgers that kind of thing, which is where I usually ate when not away from populated areas and living on dehydrated meals. Also as has been mentioned, restaurants and bars are really expensive. Supermarkets are a little more...

Re: Iceland from the East to the West?
There is a link to the gpx file in the comments, it’s on his personal site. Here’s a good mapping online link. https://en.ja.is/kort/?type=map&x=387326&y=537784&nz=7.08 I use a mapping app that covers roads and most of the gravel routes too, also has local facilities etc too. Really grea...

Re: Iceland from the East to the West?
Given how relatively cheap it is to fly too Iceland, it might be worth doing a recon trip of something like rte26(Sprenginsandur, as ripio mentioned) or rte35, which starts at Gulfoss(more or less) and can be ridden from the airport or take a bus too. I would say planning a trip through the interior...
