Water carrying options?
So a little while ago I experimented with ditching the camelbak. It works fine for day rides with just a large bottle or even stuffing an extra coke bottle size, er, bottle in the jersey pocket. As soon as I went to an overnighter I had to get the camel bak back out to add 2 litres to the water capa...

Re: 140mm Travel Frame with a Custom Frame Bag?
2012 or earlier scott genius? Shock is out back so you get a triangle up front. Nice bikes too. Mondrakers have a fair bit of room, would need to check full travel though to see where that linkage goes to. Giant anthem is a bit short on travel but has a lot of frame room. I think the scott would be ...

Re: More Monkii business
The look really good these cages. I cant think of anywhere to fasten them though ! If you use the Monkii clips they could go on: Fork legs, under the down tube, across the top tube, seatpost or even stem/bars. I'm still undecided on forks, either sticking with suspension, at which I'm not too comfo...

Re: Tell me about the Tour of the Cairngorms route
Hey, no Idea on aviemore as I started and finished in Blair Athol (which has the odd shop and pub) the couple of times I've done the tour of the cairngorms. From memory we restocked in Kingussie, decent co-op here, chippy's etc. I dont remember the pubs being great. Its a quick detour after descendi...

Re: Wheels and cassettes...
are you going to run the same cassette and swap it over on each set of wheels?
I used to do this for while and tried to used 2 cassettes. My road / commuter mileage was higher and I ended up with chain slip on the second cassette.
