Re: Divided screening in Sheffield
Went to see it in Edinburgh too and really enjoyed it especially the Q&A session afterwards too. I'll not be using hissy fit but, yes, you are right that there was a discussion about it and a twitter interaction. I think the film is well worth going to see as is the Q&A Cheers, good to know...

Re: Divided screening in Sheffield
Is this from the trip where one of them came on here to have a hissy fit about "not being judged" or somesuch?
If it is are they better than that (one) post implies?
Genuine question. My lad likes all the adventure film stuff and Sheff' is just down the road.

Re: Cumulus quilt conundrum
You're right, close foot end drawcord, do up some of the poppers and then top drawcord cinched around neck (ish) to prevent too much gapping. IMO the Cloudcover is a pretty poor take on a top-quilt. Unless they've improved it significantly compared to the mk1 I've got. Every other quilt (UKHammocks,...

Howies Merino Vest - red/grey - XL
Given the recent cold weather I though there might be someone who wanted this. Never used or taken out of its packaging. Mainly red but grey panels in the side. XL size so will fit the bigger (though its a "Howies XL" so hardly mahoosive) folks. It's merino so clearly will solve every conc...

Re: Guy line mod.
Celtic buttons eh, I'll have to look that one up. You're right as well that the method I've described gives you almost full range adjustment and avoids the dead space of the "constrictor". Then again, for a guy line you could probably make the constrictor much shorter than might be used in...

Re: Guy line mod.
If you want a guy line that can be easily adjusted from the tarp end (and is probably simpler than that): - 1 to 2m line of as skinny as you can get cord (1.2mm dyneema / arboriculturist's throw line - massively over-strength for a guy line but good in 2-for-1 situations and still silly light) - tie...

As wide as possible and flared, for me, for off road curly bar'd stuff. Wide is usually better IMO, unless you're downwizdakidz and running 1m bars on your gnarpoon

Re: Bivvy a month 2018.
Just based on the look of the hang in those picks you look like you've got it fairly "flat". The images could be deceptive, comfort's a personal thing, physical aspects of the pitch might be awkward etc etc etc  but I've always understood a more "banana" type hang is "...

Re: Back issues
3 things to consider 1. The thing about physio is that you have to make the exercises a habit, and that's where many of us fall down. It only works if you do them regularly, ideally every day. 2. Classes are much easier to use for regular practise if you're not the self motivated type. 3. A good yo...

Re: Back issues
I recommend a physio. A good one will work out what's wrong with you and then prescribe the appropriate torture / treatment / exercises. You want a good one though as they can vary in quality and (to some extent) specialism - though you might not need a cycling specific one. My last visit introduced...

Just received one of the Outdry Light jackets. It's a funny old thing - others have mentioned the fabric's "feel" - I imagine that might "soften" a bit with use though expect it's always going to look pretty sowester  The sizing is typically Columbia / US - long arms and a ...
