Re: International Bivvy Bag Day - Saturday 25/02

I'm not sure why they've got the mainstream press involved, as well as TV.
Arrive late, leave early and nobody knows you were ever there.
OR we could let every farmer and landowner know that there's potentially hundreds of people trespassing on their land.

Re: SPOT or InReach?

If you are in a position to press the button (i.e. conscious) you don't need to. I guess there will be a circumstance where it's life of death but I figured that would actually be very limited in this country. Plus you may encounter the issue I did - nearest and dearest keep an eye on your tracking...

They’re great books, especially the portables.
Made some treats from it for Dave and Andy when they stopped in on their gravel lejog.
Apparently they went down well.

Wife done hers 2.5 years ago, she said don’t cut corners with what the physio says. She’s riding and skiing again but does have a custom brace for the skiing.
Was about 4 weeks before she got rid of crutches.

Re: How to.... Take your bike on a plane

Answering your questions in order. I've only flown with easyJet, United and air Canada. Not had a problem with the airlines themselves although the baggage gorillas at each airport are a different story. Ripped bike bag but fortunately nothing missing, smothered the the thing in duct tape for the re...

Re: Diesel Heater For A Van Question.

Got this message back from planar Pete, he’s a mobile fitter, does Solar as well, lives Heathrow way but I’ve seen him down in Devon direction. For a 2kw Autoterm air heater would work out £1175.00 supplied and fitted. Includes travel to you. That includes the new 2021 comfort controller and silent ...

Re: What does your Christmas look like?

Warm and sunny! Can't be done with the usual Christmas nonsense so my wife has booked us in for 2 weeks in the canaries, again. So much simpler and I get to go for a ride with no moaning in my lug 'ole. Christmas dinner will be something like beans on toast as we only have 2 ring's to cook on in the...

Wish I’d known you were going, I was all packed up and ready to go for the WWB when it was cancelled. You probably rode less than half a mile past my house.
Spent a few nights up on Cadbury camp in the past.

Re: Bivvy a month 2022

I never really thought bam would take off as it did. It is both simple and difficult to achieve. Chew and Taylor also managed a full year in 2012 Think Chew managed 5 years before throwing in the towel, I kept going for another 10 months but without Chew being neck and neck with me I found those la...

Currently hosing it down again as I type.
