Re: Multifuel stoves, tell me about them
reminds me i did get into trouble in BC for using it . On a concrete table on a tarmaced parking area , in the rain with the windshield up. She thought i was burning wood on the table (priming the stove with maybe slightly too much fuel in the priming cup) she was going hysterical until i pointed ou...

Re: Will a Revo run a rear light other than a Redeye?
'Pretty sure I've seen Revos with the mounting shoe removed and bolted to a fork crown mount before now if you want to 'permanentise' it.' that was probably me . I tried it as a way to get my light under my bar bag as it was cutting off the bottom of the beam. What i ended up with was a light that ...

Re: cairngormloop 1st september?
Just got home.
Had dry shoes all weekend.
Last night was warm as owt. Didn't bother with a ground mat and spent most of night with arms and head out of bag. The high winds kept the midges away.
Destroyed a silly amount of kit. But finished

Re: Garmin Etrex mounts
None of them do etrex mount though pistonbroke.
I find the etrex one ok if I mount it on the stem or the top tube so the mass centres not trying to rotate it on the long axis.
If I mount it on h accessory bar I find it drops down at the nose so you can't see it over rough ground

Re: Anybody been ill after bikepacking
Got giardia in New Zealand after filling from a labled safe source (a drinking water tap)in Abel Tasman. Have never carried a filter , occasionally boil up if I suspect the source but it was 3 weeks of unusually hot weather so the 10 litres I was carrying for the day on some of the remote sections w...

Re: USB Charging on tour
Igaro have incorporated a solar input into their latest charger.
Dual input so plays well with both hub Dyno and solar to charge your battery.
I'm on my third cycle2charge. It's sitting in my toolbox now. Don't rate them at all.

Re: Are you having owt interesting for Christmas?
I'm working away till 28th
But I have built the Mrs a (used) pivot Mach 5.7 with revs and 1*11slx +dropper
Hopefully it means she will enjoy some of my favourite trails in the Cairngorms as her mamasita gets out of its depth quickly on some of the steeper stuff.

Re: Has Wiggle ruined CRC?
tbh ive found they have both been on a steady decline
Wiggle seemed to drop when they got bought over
CRC just seemed to get sub standard.
Now they have compounded each other crapness.
i only use them if they are the last option these days.

it does and its open to the public + does good food but seeing as its set up more like a function suite id be surprised if they are not doing a ceilidh or something for new years .but think the glen more lodge outdoor centre has a bar
