Re: WTD - quite a few parts !!!

The shifter would be great! I already have a left hand xtr so this would be perfect

I’m going to borrow the forks from my daughters bike for the time being so could well still be looking in a couple of weeks, what forks are they?

I’ll pm you for PayPal email address for the shifter

Cheers

Due to my transition bandit getting nicked from the garage and insurance not paying out, I'm looking to get my old Ragley 26" frame built up so I can get out riding again. I've got a few bits and pieces in the spares box but I'm missing the following major items : Forks - preferably 26" ar...

Re: An interesting idea

Loads of walkers/climbers use bikes to get them further into the wilderness so they can spend more time climbing so this would likely appeal to them more than your traditional “bikepacker”

Third dibs !

I don’t mind what specification they are, just need something cheap as my bike got nicked out of the garage last weekend and I’m trying to get parts together to build something up to get me back out

Re: Chainring Spacer Question.

Did you move the spacers on the bottom bracket? This will also shift the position of the chain ring (I forgot when first moved to 1 x )

Re: Down Quilts

Originally, Cumulus had an agreement with Criterion for them distribute Cumulus quilts in the UK under the Criterion brand. I know this because I wanted a custom Cumulus quilt (down comforter)about 6 years ago from Cumulus but couldn’t get one as at that time, the agreement they had with Criterion m...

Re: Dropper post mounts.

I use the enduro collar you get with reverbs and then just use electrical tape to protect the part of the post above the collar (where the strap from the bag sits)

Not sure if enduro collars fit other brands of posts but you can get them on eBay for about five quid.

Re: Hikeabike / portage strategy

This is the thing to strap using an existing pack - you would need to be careful of the crank position to avoid a pedal/face incident when turning your head.

The website says 5 year warranty, no mention of the UL range being any different

Exped warranty is 5 years
Lyon told me 2 years. Maybe they were Lyon to me.

(I'll get my coat).
I’m currently sending my Synmat UL 7 back to Lyon for inspection (blown baffle) - I told them it was just over 5 years old and they didn’t question this so I’ll let you know how it goes!

Hmm. Just testing my Exped HL mat. Finished blowing it up, looked up to check it and the joint between the middle two channels has blown along the whole length. No, I didn't overinflate. Ho hum. Lasted me a fair while I suppose. OK, 30% off: https://www.outdoorgb.com/p/Exped_SynMat_HL_M_Sleeping_Ma...
