I'd use the Wildcat (for Salsa) but move it forwards and strap a spare tube between it and the seat tube. TBH I just buy genuine Shimano/Avid . They work well, last well and I don't go through them frequently enough that any cost difference adds up.

I guess you could take a MTB on the road 70km but they've been clear that it has to be a MTB (not CX) bike for the MTB 30km. What were you planning to bring? If you're the right height I could lend you a MTB.
