They are e*13 ones. I‘ve researched their removal online and they’re easy to knacker the crank even with the tool. I think I’ve figured out how to do it without the proper tool, but I’m only going to get one go at it without destroying the crank...

Single speed ratios are a funny thing; fit a lighter gear and it seems just as hard, but you go slower
32:19 was always my choice for Wales, loaded or otherwise- didn’t seem to make any difference.

a dynamo front wheel for the commuter last night. I got Roger Musson’s wheel building guide a while back and followed it to the letter - pleased with the result, but I’ve not ridden on it yet

Triathlon bars tend to be this sort of shape, in a shorter length than you’d find on dedicated TT bikes.
Quick search revealed Deda Superzero TT or Metal Blast to be similar shape/ length. I had some carbon Profile bars like this a while back, but they were longer than the ones in this image appear.
