Re: TransPyr anyone....?

Chew, Cool, hope you can make it. Kevin, I like the look of that train - if there were two cars then we could do some relaying to/from/to the station and the end of the ride and then all get the train (possibly in shifts) over to near(ish) the start. If there's only 1 car then we'll see what can be ...

Re: Fork Servicing

I'd never serviced any forks before (well.....some Judy DH's back in '96) and I successfully managed some Reba RLT Ti's without (mush) hassle.

Just follow the service manual instructions and get the required tools/oils.

Nice!

I'm planning on taking note of my mileage each month next year - it'll be interesting to see what it comes out at (very different to naming a goal and trying to reach it I imagine).

Ooooh, nice topic idea! I had a brilliant year that failed to be ruined by my useless excuse for a spine. Re: Leg Coverings

I've got some Gore Bike Wear tights that have a windstopper fabric down the front. They're pretty good in poor conditions. I've got some of these and they're definitely the best solution I've come across to date. I managed to tear a massive hole in the knee (riding with Stuart and Kevin funnily eno...

.....how are you proposing to do the transport with 1 car? not sure! some kind of leaving the car and then travelling to the other end via public transport to begin (and end at the car) or vice-versa - nothing's decided/organised/researched yet. Pistonbroke, Cool, glad to hear it! No worries on the buddy coming along as long as he knows what he's getting himself into and can handle it (sounds like it shouldn't be a problem as in my experience all fell-runners are hard as nails!). As for travel - yes, I'm going to be in the UK (and returning...

I don't know how many are still up for this but I'm 100% planning on doing it! As far as I know Stuart is still up for this but how about everyone else??? The route choi...

Re: 2012 Bivvy* a month challenge

Nice work fellas.

I'm currently working on a little outing for Monday night which (if I can swing it) will leave me having completed 11 out of 12 months for 2012 which I'm happy enough with but will leave me with something to improve on for 2013!!!

Anyone else manage all 12???

Screw 'low carb' as a way to lose weight - I've just discovered the perfect method!!! Do a 3 day (16 hour-a-day) weekend catching, killing, butchering and preparing an angry +300kg/50st pig and then catch a horrendous stomach bug which puts you on your ass (next to a toilet for most of the day :shoc...

I LOVE my new Solaris!!!!! It rides (near as damn it) just like my Soul (a sniff less chuck-about-able) and, so far, has delivered in every area I hoped it would - looks lovely too! Having said that I haven't had it long or used it a massive amount and so mine is very much a short-term review (but I...

nice. there's something really satisfying about throwing together a load of old bits that are laying around doing nothing and ending up with a genuinely nice (and dirt cheap) bike. i've got an Inbred frame laying around that needs a sniff of welding and then it'll end up looking very similar to the ...

Am just awaiting confirmation about a friends wedding date (is most likely in early or late April) and so, once that's decided and I know where I'll be and when, I'll be ready to commit with certainty to some exact dates. I see no problem with being finished by the 12th of May but it'll most likely ...
