What bike for bugger all fitness???
Howdy folks! Next week I'm finally heading down (mum not well earlier in the year so missed the mass start) into the Italy to do my annual Tuscany Trail pilgrimage. And.....I'm in fairly crap shape. Not horrifically poor form and to be fair my back is currently as good as it's been in a decade so :-...

Ok. It is done. In the post are 1 x Topeak MINI 20 PRO (everything I need but still relatively compact) and 1 x Leatherman Skeletool CX (minimal weight but full sized, has the bit driver feature and supposed to be superior wire cutting capabilities). Thanks for all the help choosing, let's hope I've...

No definitive decisions made yet but at least I've more got one whole metric crap-ton of additional possibilities to consider    But seriously, lots of nice ideas but I must admit I'm still leaning towar...

WTD: 26" / 120-130mm travel fork
Evenin',
As per the title I'm looking for a 26" bouncy fork.
- Straight 1 1/8th steerer (at least 170mm long).
- 120-130mm travel.
- Non-boost.
- Breezy on the bolt through vs QR skewer situation.
- Doesn't need to über high end but equally not Suntour etc...
Anyone? Anyone?

Re: Kit lust.
Mornin', I can relate to this. Not really had much enthusiasm for new kit for a while now. Currently in the market for a new multi-tool and leatherman after some yoofs* helped themselves to mine when my bike was outside while I ate the other day and, after initially thinking I'd quite enjoy looking ...

New multi-tool and/or leatherman type thingy advice...
The other night some helpful little scamps opened my toolkit top tube bag while I was eating dinner in town and buggered off with a load of my kit. I've got replacements for most of it but I'm in the market for a new multi-tool and a leatherman type thing and hoping you lot can throw some good ideas...

Oooh, timely as my stable is currently undergoing some changes..... Here goes (order tyres smallest to largest): 1. Hi-di-ho all, I'm still not really weighing myself or quantifying things at my end right now (just trying to shift my motivations, attitude and eventually behaviour slowly but hopefully permanently) but.....I am still here reading and following everyone's progress. Is it just me who thinks that..... when looking at the last 2 photos with people in the shot does this look like your head and feet will be touching the tents outer when you lay down on anything thicker than a waffer, that is if you don't sleep diagonally twisting around the centre pole? I have one, haven't used it much recently. Can be very painful to use, plus very boring. They do work though... ^ this! They're great. They hurt. But they work. But they hurt. So I don't use it. So I don't get better. So then I get desperate and use it. They work. I decide I'm always gonna use one ...

I've only worn these for the last decade or so and I have no intention of buying anything else any time soon..... https://www.nzoactive.com/dobies/ The site mentions that they are 'lightly padded' but I've had ~6 pairs now and unless they've changed they're not padded. They have thicker fabric in th...

Eating less crap, not drinking much, exercising when possible.
I'll look at what had transpired in a couple of weeks...

Like a few others on here I've not really even thought about the idea of buying anything for least couple of years. I replaced my (then 12 years old and very dated) bouncy bike two years ago and I blimmin' love my new one (SC Hightower) but apart from that (oh and buying a 24" wheeled BMX to us...

And..... I'm also guilty of trying to over-exercise to compensate and offset my excesses in other areas. Sure, it worked when I was younger (or rather it not working was less apparent and the affects weren't yet painfully obvious) but now that I'm older (46) all I'm doing is burning the candle at bo...

Glad (but sorry) I'm not alone Gairym. :-bd I've been trying to work on the mental side of the situation more and more of late. Hi, just popping into say grrr.... not the bloody year of victory for me, yet! One thing after another; physical and mental health and life. Nice long battery life, not dissimilar to a regular watch so inoffensive and does everything/more than I want or need.
