Re: Aggression from others spoil your ride?

The pub landlord didn't want our short during the Teddy Bear Bones one year at Penmaenpool, he might own the other pub you mention too.
Our group of ~8 families didn't eat there, would've been worth his while with all the hungry kids.

Can't believe nobody has taken these, mine are ace for winter, shame I'm a bigger size otherwise I'd have a spare pair. 😉

That's if it's not rammed already!
There's another carpark just down the hill at the dam that's usually empty.

Re: Riding on Monday?

Club have now announced that if we do our own rides, we shouldn't wear club kit. Luckily I don't have any anyway I genuinely find that somewhat sad. Whereas me, I shall use it as an opportunity to wear my spare 'John Climber' jersey. :-bd Is that pre-order like the BB jersey's, can't find them on t...

Re: Riding on Monday?

I'm choosing to work, although I might ride in.
I've only got meetings with other trades before work starts proper a few days later.
It is a discretionary B/H but I know the wife's staff are expecting the day off.

Is the next winter event going to be a Waitrose version of SparWars?
Telford or Hereford are quite a trek😉

Re: What's the default GPS recommendation nowadays?

I used to have the Oregon 550 which was pressure screen and that had no issues in the rain. When I moved to the Oregon 700 I did have the same rain issue to start with but I found a screen sensitivity switch hidden in the menu somewhere and never had any problems since with rain/sleet/snow. On a sli...

Re: What's the default GPS recommendation nowadays?

A touch screen is essential, I'd prefer a larger screen but can live with something small if it's bright, and I'm pretty sure I'd still like replaceable batteries but I can be persuaded otherwise. Based on this I would suggest a Garmin Oregon 700 Seems my preferred for most bikepacking rides Screen...

Campsite reccomendations this bank holiday

Wife wants a trip away in the camper this coming bank holiday near the sea with mountain biking, not too busy(moon on a stick)and access to a rail station as she's following on after I've driven down with kids and dogs. I'm not interested in Cornwall as I see all the traffic heading past Bristol eve...

If we’re playing that type of game I’ll raise you a nightclub in Bristol harbour called the Thekla.
There’s quite a few drinking establishments in the harbour though.

Son hub axles?

I've got a son hub with 15mm bolt through axle, I use a 9mm adaptor for my gravel bike, can I get a 12mm adaptor to apply it to a different fork?

Looking for a balance bike for my grandson, not in a rush as he’s only just started walking a few weeks ago so I’m just putting the feelers out now.
